Recently, the Jinan Lixia District Disabled Persons' Federation, in light of the actual conditions of its work, has opened up a "green channel" for the disabled to seek medical treatment through the third-party "Quanrun" volunteer organization for the disabled and the Lixia District Association for the Deaf with the help of high-quality medical resources in the area under its jurisdiction, bringing good news to the disabled in seeking medical treatment.

In July 2023, a multi-disabled elderly household in Wendong Street, Lixia District, sought the help of volunteers from "Quanrun Helping the Disabled" due to difficulties in seeking medical treatment.
The Lixia District Association of the Deaf and the Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled were linked to the members of the Shanghai Association for the Deaf and established an exchange group of "Ideas for Deaf Clinics" to learn and understand the relevant experience of Shanghai Deaf Clinics.
In October and November 2023, a number of symposiums on volunteer service activities of "Warm Medical Assistance for the Disabled, Love Qilu for Love" were successively carried out, and the heads of relevant departments of Lixia District Disabled Persons' Federation, Qilu Care Life and Health Volunteer Service Alliance, Qilu Hospital Outpatient Department, Qilu Hospital Youth League Committee, Lixia District Deaf Association, and Jinan Quanrun Disability Assistance Public Service Center attended the meeting. At the meeting, an in-depth discussion was held on the continuity, extensibility and universality of the volunteer service activities of "Warm Medical Care to Help the Disabled, Love Qilu Qilu", and at the same time, a further consensus was reached on the "talent co-education, activity co-construction and resource sharing" of the Lixia District Disabled Persons' Federation, Qilu Hospital and all walks of life.
Inaugurated
On December 2, 2023, on the occasion of the 32nd International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the establishment and unveiling ceremony of the "Warm Doctors to Help the Disabled, Love Qilu" Volunteer Service Station was held in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. Gui Feng, Director of the Ideological, Political and Rights Protection Division of the Jinan Veterans Affairs Bureau, and the relevant persons in charge of the Disabled Persons' Federation of Lixia District and the Outpatient Department of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University jointly unveiled the volunteer service station.
This is a useful attempt to help people with disabilities solve their difficulties in seeking medical treatment, smooth the green channel for barrier-free medical treatment, enhance the medical experience of patients with disabilities, and create an equal, inclusive and barrier-free social environment.
In order to further promote the smooth progress of the "Warm Medical Assistance for the Disabled Airun Qilu" barrier-free medical service project for the disabled, on December 7, relevant representatives of Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled, Lixia District Deaf Association, and Lixia District Limb Association carried out the project work promotion meeting. At the meeting, everyone discussed how to carry out the detailed process of normalized and long-term volunteer service for the disabled.
A pennant
On the evening of December 8, 2023, the hearing-impaired elderly couple received selfless help from the volunteers of "Quanrun Helping the Disabled" in the process of emergency medical treatment. With the communication and assistance of the volunteers, they successfully completed the medical examination and received timely and effective medical treatment after 6 hours. In order to express their sincere gratitude to the volunteer team, the hearing-impaired elderly couple specially prepared a pennant with the words "Kindness is as heavy as a mountain, helping the disabled warms their hearts".
On December 17, 2023, the volunteer service station of "Warm Medical Aid for the Disabled Airun Qilu" accepted an important task - to accompany a 7-year-old Xinjiang hearing-impaired child and his family to handle hospital admission and medical consultation. Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled mobilized three Xinjiang "Quanrun Disabled Assistance" college student volunteers to come to the hospital to provide volunteer services, communicate with medical staff through in-depth understanding of the needs of hearing-impaired children and their families, and accompany them throughout the hospitalization procedures. With their professional knowledge and sense of service, the volunteers provided a good medical experience for the hearing-impaired child, and made him feel the care and warmth of the society.
Getting better and better
Under the guidance of the Lixia District Disabled Persons' Federation, Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled has close contact with the disabled through various volunteer service projects for the disabled, and has a deep understanding of the various obstacles encountered by the disabled, especially in the face of medical problems related to life safety, it seems more powerless, and the various obstacles in the process of obtaining medical services make them a special group in the social medical treatment, helping them to open up a barrier-free green channel for medical treatment, so that the disabled have "medicine" It is especially important to rely on it.
After many times of communication and coordination, Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled, Qilu Hospital, and Lixia District Disabled Persons' Association have established a Qilu Hospital Disability Assistance Appointment Group covering medical staff, volunteers, sign language interpreters, members of the Disabled Persons' Association, etc., and established a volunteer service team with sign language interpreters as the team leader and members of the Disabled Persons' Association as the deputy team leader, and formulated the "Pre-medical Screening-Appointment-Volunteer Companion for Medical Treatment" and other series of processes to help solve the problem of medical difficulties for people with disabilities.
Unhindered
On January 21, the volunteer service team of Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled received the information of the hearing-impaired patients asking for help, and promptly fed back to the Qilu Hospital Disability Assistance Appointment Group.
On January 26, the hearing-impaired patient arrived at Qilu Hospital for medical treatment, and successfully completed a series of medical treatment procedures such as filing, registration, and medical treatment, accompanied by Mr. Gao, a sign language interpreter of "Quanrun Helping the Disabled", Director Wang, Director of the Patient Service Center of Qilu Hospital, and volunteers.
In the next step, Jinan Quanrun Public Service Center for the Disabled will continue to work with all parties to "find and solve problems" in actual services, continuously improve the barrier-free medical treatment process for the disabled, and help maximize the efficiency of barrier-free medical treatment for the disabled. At the same time, we will continue to expand the volunteer service team and the influence and radiation of volunteer service for the disabled, so that helping the disabled will become a conscious action for the progress of civilization in the whole society, so that more disabled people can feel the warmth and care of the social family.
