The starting point of National Highway 228 is Dandong (also the starting point of National Highway 331) and the end point is Dongxing (also the end of National Highway 219).
It goes all the way south from Dandong, Liaoning, passing through 10 free trade zones, 4 special economic zones, 5 large islands, and 44 coastal cities, spanning 7,800 kilometers, all the way to Dongxing, Guangxi, and taking in the most beautiful coastline scenery of the motherland.
