Night Terror - 400 Japanese demon female nurses surrender and kill 100 of our fighters with scalpels in the middle of the night

In February 1946, in a hospital in Tonghua, more than 400 Japanese nurses who had surrendered for half a year one night, under the command and encouragement of Japanese spies, picked up scalpels or scissors in their hands and stabbed more than 150 seriously wounded soldiers of the Eighth Route Army who had been deeply anesthetized.

In August 1945, the U.S. military dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and on August 8, the Soviet Red Army attacked the Japanese Kwantung Army entrenched in northeast China, annihilating and capturing 600,000 Japanese troops, and Japan suffered heavy losses.

On August 15, the Japanese emperor announced his unconditional surrender, the Second World War was declared over, and the Chinese people ushered in the dawn of victory, and after the annihilation of the Japanese Kwantung Army, the Soviet government decided to transport all the captured Japanese to Siberia to dig potatoes.

However, due to limited transportation capacity, most of the Japanese troops could only be sent to Siberia, and the remaining tens of thousands of Japanese troops were handed over to the Eighth Route Army for on-the-spot detention, including more than 400 Japanese nurses.

The Soviet Union captured the Japanese army

In order to manage these prisoners of war, the central authorities instructed them to carry out military management, to guard them in batches and regions, and also to carry out labor reform for these Japanese prisoners of war.

However, more than 400 unarmed and ineffective nurses were not put under military control, firstly because the medical conditions of our army were too poor at that time and these Japanese nurses were needed to supplement them, and secondly, because they were considered to be women and had no combat effectiveness. But it was these more than 400 Japanese nurses who seemed to have no combat effectiveness who secretly fornicated with Kuomintang spies and the remaining spies in Japan to create the Tonghua bloody case.

In 1946, our army had already discovered traces of Kuomintang spies and Japanese espionage activities in the northeast region, so at the request of the Party Central Committee, it decided to strangle this reactionary force in advance and ensure the security of the northeast region.

Before the incident, in order to drive out the Eighth Route Army from Tonghua, the Kuomintang reactionaries conspired with the Japanese spy Fujita Daisa under the personal organization and planning of Li Guangchen, director of the Executive Committee of the Kuomintang Liaoning Provincial Party Department.

It was planned to use the 6,000 Japanese Kwantung Army prisoners still remaining in Tonghua City at this time to launch a riot on the condition of the "Sino-Japanese coalition government" and take the opportunity to eliminate the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army.

Stills from the Northeast Democratic Alliance

In order to ensure the success of this riot, Li Guangchen also repeatedly instructed Fujita Daisa to keep it secret, and when he moved, he "had to put on makeup, walk three steps and turn back", and they decided to take advantage of the idle period of our army's garrison during the Spring Festival to launch this riot and use the prisoners to storm Tonghua City.

February 2, 1946 was the day of the riots, the Kuomintang spies and Japanese espionage activities became more and more rampant, without the slightest concealment, which was discovered by our army, after the arrest of a Kuomintang agent who was looking for information on the street, after interrogation, our army learned of this shocking conspiracy.

Soon our army learned detailed information, such as the time of the riot, whether the rioters had an internal response, who should be the internal response, and so on, and in particular, they learned the specific information of Sun Gengyao, the head of the Kuomintang spy who commanded the riot, and at this time, Shen Diankai, the quartermaster of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army, also reported the information that a spy had wooed him and hoped that he would assist in the riot.

Therefore, after urgent discussions, our army decided to strangle this insurrectionary force in advance, and at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, our army immediately began to act, fully armed into the position to wait for orders from the superiors, and also quickly mobilized reinforcements from the front line to return to Tonghua to participate in the suppression of the rebellion.

Because at this time, there were only more than 500 Korean volunteers in Tonghua City, plus some security soldiers, and the strength could not suppress the rioters, under the orderly arrangement, our army collected the weapons of the Japanese puppet army left behind, cleared and arrested more than 170 traitors, and also arrested more than 10 main criminals such as Sun Gengyao.

However, the Japanese spies had not yet shown their traces at this time, and with the slow arrival of the riot time, our army's control over Tonghua was gradually strengthened, and in the early morning of February 3, the Japanese spies, who were unwilling to fail, took advantage of the darkness to launch a long-planned riot, and our army immediately took action to suppress it.

Map of the march planned by the secret service

But what no one could have imagined was that at this time, in the hospital in Tonghua City, more than 400 Japanese nurses who had surrendered, under the frantic shouts of the Japanese spy female nurse head nurse He Ye, picked up the scalpel or scissors in their hands and stabbed the more than 150 seriously wounded of the Eighth Route Army who had been deeply anesthetized.

In an instant, the hospital was full of blood, and these Japanese female nurses showed an extremely cruel side, and the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army were all killed unconsciously.

After assassinating these seriously wounded, the more than 400 nurses under the leadership of He Ye Boxiong attacked the Korean volunteers defending the city gate, and the soldiers who defended in an instant were attacked from both sides, especially the group of female nurses behind them, who were defenseless at first and thought that they were treating the wounded, causing serious casualties.

At this critical moment, another Korean People's Army, which received a signal for help, finally rushed to Tonghua City, and after they saw the hellish scene in the hospital, the battalion commander Ko Ying-seok immediately ordered: open full fire and use machine gun fire.

In the battle, the head of the Japanese female spy He no Hiroo was killed on the spot, more than half of the more than 400 Japanese nurses were annihilated, and only a few escaped by chance.

Japanese troops in the incident

Soon after, the director of medicinal herbs, Matsukura Eleven, the director of surgery, Masaki Randa, the director of surgery, Toshio Hirai, the director of internal medicine, Setsumi Ganda, the chief medical officer, Masashi Matsubuchi, the accountant, Mr. Hiroshi Hiraga, and the head nurse, Asao Fujimoto, were all arrested.

At this moment, most of the masterminds of this riot, which Kuomintang spies had colluded with Japanese spies to initiate, had been arrested, and this riot was destined to be suppressed by our army, but the reactionary forces, which seemed unwilling to fail like this, gathered more than 1,000 bandits the next day to attack Tonghua City.

Although this group of bandits was outnumbered, but its combat effectiveness was extremely poor, and there was no organization and discipline, with the support of the Tonghua detachment that rushed to the scene, our army immediately launched a war of annihilation, encirclement and suppression against this riot bandits.

Our army used dozens of machine guns and many mortars collected from the Japanese army to launch a fierce attack on this bandit, and under the powerful offensive of our army, this rabble with only a few dozen guns and one machine gun was quickly annihilated by our army.

Our army counterinsurgency

So far, the riot initiated by more than 400 Japanese female nurses in collusion between the Kuomintang reactionaries and Japanese spies has been quelled by our army, and the Japanese army leader Fujita Minoruhiko Osa, who started the riot, was also arrested by the Democratic Alliance Army from a Japanese trading company, accompanied by more than 30 diehards.

Later, according to post-war statistics, at least 1,800 Japanese were killed or executed on the spot as a result of the riots, and the mastermind Fujita and others were shot all but Fujita after the trial, while Fujita was left to march in the streets to denounce the crimes, and more than a dozen Kuomintang agents including Sun Gengshun were executed on the spot.

After the riots, in order to search for the remaining Japanese elements, the Democratic Alliance Army launched a two-week arrest operation, and tens of thousands of Japanese living in Tonghua were either censored or arrested, and those who dared to resist or flee were shot dead on the spot.

According to the surviving Japanese, after the riot, the Chinese soldiers and Chinese civilians had already killed the red eye, as long as the Japanese could not answer the password or were all killed.
