At present, we have selected and bred a wild strain M624 with high polysaccharide and high yield from 22 wild Ganoderma lucidum varieties screened.
The pharmacopoeia requires that the polysaccharide content of Ganoderma lucidum must be above 0.9%, and the polysaccharide content of Ganoderma lucidum varieties on the market is generally 1.1% to 1.2%, while M624 can reach 1.6%, which is more than 40% and 30% higher than the mainstream Ganoderma lucidum varieties "Hanzhi No. 2" and "Hunong No. 1" on the market respectively.
M624 also performed well in other indices, according to the pharmacopoeia, the triterpenoids determined by the oleanolic acid method reached 1.05%, which was much higher than the 0.5% specified by the pharmacopoeia.
The ganoderic acid A of M624 reached 8.94%, which was 40% higher than the 6.51% of Hunong No. 1 and basically the same as the 8.65% of Hanzhi No. 2.
