Why? Because there is no competitive advantage in working in a lower dimension. No matter how good you are, you can only be on par with others or just a little bit ahead. So how can we jump out of the lower dimensions? The answer is simple: innovation, change, improvement. You have to do things that others haven't done, won't do, are afraid to do, don't want to do. You need to use new methods, new ideas, new technologies, and new models to solve problems, meet needs, and create value. You must continue to learn, explore, practice, and improve, so that your knowledge, skills, abilities, and qualities can be improved. You have to work in a high dimension in order to get high income, high status, high influence, and high happiness.
For example, if you are a programmer, you write code, complete tasks, and fix bugs every day, these are low-dimensional jobs. You can choose to continue doing this, and maybe you will get some praise, bonuses, promotions, but you have limited room for growth and development potential. Or you can choose to learn some new programming languages, frameworks, tools, and algorithms in your free time, try to develop some new applications, functions, products, or even start a business to do some projects that you are interested in, which are all high-dimensional work.
