How difficult the conditions were at that time
The background of the Long March was that it was forced to move under the circumstances of the failure of the anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign, and in the face of the blockade in front of the Kuomintang and the pursuit in the rear, how to break through the encirclement became a difficult problem.
If you want to transfer, the roads you can take have basically been occupied and guarded by the Kuomintang, and you can only take some deserted places, or in other words, roads that are not roads, so that the enemy can't find them.
Therefore, during the 25,000-mile Long March, grasslands, wetlands, swamps, snow-capped mountains, high mountains and mountains, and great rivers and rivers were many roads that had no roads, and they were forced to open up roads for the Red Army.
The geographical environment is harsh, as well as the climatic conditions are harsh, there will be mudslides in the mountainous areas, and the grassland cannot walk in the rainstorm, not to mention the swamp, which is really a man-eating grassland, and cannibalism is invisible.
Under such conditions, what to eat and what to drink is a big problem, most of us have heard of eating grass roots, gnawing bark, not only grass roots, bark, leaves, and weeds, and even some people have fed them to check whether they are poisonous, and they eat them first, and then let their comrades eat them.
If there is an occasional hare, a wild mouse or something like that is already terrible, it can be regarded as a big meat, and then at this time, no one is willing to eat, and they will give it to their seriously ill comrades-in-arms first.
Some people have said that grasslands, wetlands, swamps, rivers, lakes and seas, why there is no water to drink, it is not that there is no water to drink, there is water that cannot be drunk, and if you drink it, you will have diarrhea, some soldiers are really thirsty, and would rather have diarrhea, but as a result, in exchange for more pain, and even death.
After all, during the Long March, there were basically no medical conditions, there was a shortage of medicines, and there were almost no medical personnel.
In such a difficult situation, he has to constantly face the battle with the enemy.
Can you imagine that on the Luding Bridge, in order to prevent the Red Army from crossing the Dadu River, the enemy dismantled all the wooden planks on the Luding Bridge, leaving only 13 cold iron cables, which lay across the Dadu River.
On the opposite side was the enemy's machine-gun strafing in the rain of bullets, 22 Red Army soldiers, stubbornly climbing these 13 iron chains, step by step, inch by inch, facing the rain of bullets, laying wooden planks, and shooting at the enemy, just like that, advancing, in the end, only 8 of the 22 people survived.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the long journey, and how many martyrs and heroes have failed to reach the day of victory on the entire 25,000-mile long march.

Li Yusheng couldn't give up his teammates, so he was in a hurry and asked everyone to take off their clothes, some seriously ill comrades-in-arms, regardless of the fact that they were still sick with a fever, also took off their clothes and helped tie them into ropes, everyone stood on the empty grass, and threw the other end to the comrades who fell into it, and pulled him out.
After this time, more than 50 people from different companies became more united, and they also became friends of life and death.
Even a bite of food was secretly hidden, but not for himself, but for the seriously ill and wounded.
Regarding this point, Luo Yuqi recalled:
That day, I saw Company Commander Li Yusheng take a piece of hare meat and eat it behind the big rock behind him, but the next day he fainted.
Later, I learned that he didn't eat it himself at all, but took it to another seriously ill wounded person to eat, and he was afraid that the wounded would not be willing to eat it, so he lied that he had eaten a large piece, and this small piece was leftovers.
