This family of six, as well as Wu Wuyun's eighty-year-old parents, and some relatives, live together in a thorough house on Yumin Street. Among them, Wu Wuyun's family lives on the third floor, the old parents of the Wu family live on the first floor, and Wu Wuyun's third brother's family lives on the second floor.
This seems to be the most ordinary family, but it is unbelievable that in April 2005, an incomprehensible supernatural catastrophe fell on the Wu family!
Crime
On the afternoon of April 11, 2005, the Wu family, whose doors had been closed for almost a month, suddenly burst out of a figure and shouted, "Help, help!" The story begins
As we all know, there are many folk beliefs in Taiwan, and these small religions generally advocate the unity of Buddhism and Taoism, especially in the southern region. Therefore, the followers of these sects will also worship the gods and goddesses of Buddhism and Taoism, such as Guanyin Bodhisattva, Medicine Master Nyorai, Jade Emperor, and the Third Prince.
The same is true of the Wu family, the protagonist of our case, whose whole family has a very devout faith, especially the belief in the third prince. The three princes belong to Taoism from the perspective of the belief system, and the legend is that the fairy Jade Emperor is the main god in charge of the three worlds, and has two kinds of priest systems under the jurisdiction of literature and martial arts. Or, we can call him a more familiar name - Nezha. Taiwanese folk belief in the third prince is very common, and he is often regarded as the protector of the family, who can ward off evil spirits and relieve disasters. The most famous "Prince Temple" in Taiwan Province is the Taigong Palace located in Tainan City.
Since the older generation, the Wu family has set up a shrine in the hall of the first floor of the house, that is, the room where the Wu family's grandparents lived, to worship the third prince. The old people of the Wu family are very pious, and have participated in the religious ceremonies and activities held by the nearby Taoist temple many times, under the influence of this religious environment, several children of the Wu family are naturally very superstitious about ghosts and gods.
Speaking of the case, according to the confessions of several members of the Wu family, one day in February 2005, Wu Meiyi, the youngest daughter of the Wu family, suddenly felt "very uncomfortable", her spine was swishing, and she seemed to be entangled in some "dirty thing". However, it is worth mentioning that in orthodox Taoism, there is also such an old saying, called "The righteous god is not possessed by the body, and the possessed body is not the righteous god." Therefore, such a thing as "Qi Qi" is generally circulated among the people and is not accepted by regular cultivators.
This Wu Xiaomei's sudden "uplift" stunned the Wu family, because it was not another immortal who was on her, but the third prince who the Wu family worshipped all year round! The "third prince" used the mouth of the little sister of the Wu family to inform Wu Wuyun and his family that their eldest daughter Wu Jinnu, who was far away in Taipei, was afraid that there would be a bloody disaster soon, and the only way to crack it was to hurry up and return to her hometown in Kaohsiung to avoid disaster before the end of February, otherwise she could only wait to collect her body, and the white-haired person would send the black-haired person!

After Wu Jinnu returned home, the Wu family of six felt that the family was the safest, so they simply closed the door and couldn't go out, but I don't know if Wu Jinnu was frightened by the prophecy of the "third prince", she began to have nightmares from the night she went home, dreaming that she was sexually assaulted by a strange man, and then killed the body!
Wu Jinnu even told her family that although she was asleep, when she dreamed of being violated and killed, the touch and pain of her skin were extremely real! In this way, after having the same strange nightmare for several days in a row, Wu Jinnu's whole mental state was sluggish, and she only dared to sleep during the day, and her sleep was also very shallow, and some slight movements could wake her up, so the Wu family had to buy sleeping pills for her.
After taking sleeping pills, Wu Jinnu's condition was relieved, the nightmares were no longer done, she slept much more normally, and the whole person seemed to be refreshed. At this time, February had passed, and it had entered March, Wu Jinnu thought that maybe the prophecy of the "third prince" had been cracked, and she couldn't let go of the bento business with her boyfriend in Taipei, so she decided to return to Taipei. But the day before Wu Jinnu was about to return to Taipei, the accident happened again, she suddenly received a strange phone call, no one knew what she heard, but after that, Wu Jinnu actually followed in the footsteps of the third sister and "got up"!
Wu Jinnu's "uplift" is different from that of her younger sister Wu Meiyi, she claims to be possessed by Guanyin Bodhisattva, and wants to help people eliminate disasters and difficulties, and even beats her legs with her hands to harm herself! But when the master saw Wu Jinnu's state, he instinctively shook his head, saying that ordinary shocks could no longer help her, and if she really wanted to return to normal, she could only go to "meditation". So, on March 5th, Wu Meihong, the third daughter of the Wu family, and Wu Meiyi, the youngest daughter, accompanied her sister Wu Jinnu to participate in a "meditation group" in Shengning Palace and went to Bailing Mountain in Wuzhi Mountain, Zhudong Town, Hsinchu County.
After the meditation, the three sisters of the Wu family returned to Shengning Palace, and their mental state seemed to be much better, especially Wu Jinnu, whose complexion was much rudder. Under the guidance of the master of Shengning Palace, the Wu family took Wu Jinnu to a nearby altar to find a master with more powerful mana to "be surprised", and the master pointed out to them after receiving the shock, saying that the third prince immortal in the family was in the wrong position and needed to be replaced. The Wu family immediately promised to go home and do so, but to their surprise, meditation and shock did not end their family's misfortune, but only worsened the situation.
On April 3rd, the Wu family returned home, somehow, they successively "got up", first the youngest daughter Wu Meiyi and the eldest daughter Wu Jinnu were possessed by the "third prince" and "Guanyin Bodhisattva" respectively, and then the second daughter Wu Meihong "started up", she claimed to be the "Seven Fairies", and then her father Wu Wuyun and mother Wu Cai Yueqing "started up", called "Jade Emperor" and "Queen Mother", and finally the second son Wu Wangyuan "started up", shouting that he was "Jigong"!
Now the Wu family has become a place for the "immortals" to meet, they accuse each other of being fake immortals, evil demons, and only they are real, and then they fought the law, beating each other with god cards, crutches, and stabbing the incense heads that worship the gods back and forth. At this time, someone suddenly brought it up, saying that the deceased little aunt of the Wu family had become a powerful ghost and lingered in the world, so she possessed Wu Jinnu and wanted to settle accounts with the Wu family, so the Wu family collectively aimed at Wu Jinnu, 5 to 1, and wanted to drive away the "little aunt" attached to Wu Jinnu, but in fact, the little aunt of the Wu family was still alive and healthy at this time! These abnormal behaviors of the Wu family soon attracted the attention of the third brother and family downstairs, and they moved out overnight with the paralyzed and hard of hearing old Wu family parents and fled to live in a hotel.
In this way, the six members of the Wu family tossed for a night, and then returned to normal one after another, after returning to normal, they couldn't help but feel afraid, feeling that there were powerful demons in the family, which made the immortals collectively go down to catch demons, causing their family of six to all "get up"! So, on the next day on April 4, Wu Wuyun hurriedly asked his sister, that is, the little aunt of the Wu family who had "died" in their mouths the night before, to come forward to find a master's practice, and then he took his family to his sister's residence to "collect the shock". But the strange thing is that on the way, Wu Jinnu began to "get up" again, she spat at the pedestrians on the road, and the other party was provoked and called the police, and the police directly regarded Wu Jinnu as a psychopath and sent her back to Wu's house.
Seeing that his aunt's house could not be done, Wu Wuyun could only invite a feng shui master to help the family "adjust", and the feng shui master gave the Wu family a lot of charms, asking them to post them everywhere in the house, telling them to take out all the black clothes in the closet and hang them on the balcony and windowsill, because black can "suck away bad luck" the most, and also pointed out to them that demons and monsters are most afraid of filthy things.
The six members of the Wu family naturally did it one by one, they sprinkled incense ash and salt in the house, and the rune paper was pasted everywhere, in order to ensure that the house was "filthy" enough and drove away the demons, they simply left the feces and urine excreted every time, and wiped it everywhere in the house!
However, all this did not reduce the degree of the Wu family's "fighting", on the contrary, they were in a state of "rising" for almost 24 hours, not eating, drinking, or sleeping, and the "immortals" on their bodies fought with each other and quarreled, all thinking that the other party had a demonic atmosphere and must be suppressed by force. Therefore, from morning to night, the Wu family fought with each other, scalded their bodies with hot water and incense, forced each other to eat feces, and wanted to make the "demons" visible, and in the end, they even began to suspect that their food had been polluted by demons, so they simply lived by eating and drinking feces and runic water!
And among these six people, Wu Jinnu, who was predicted by the "third prince" to have a bloody disaster at the beginning, was the worst, and everyone felt that Wu Jinnu's "uprising" was the most serious, so she must be an evil spirit, and only by killing this evil spirit can the family return to normal. Therefore, under the supervision of the other five people, Wu Jinnu was frantically targeted and tortured, and her family stuffed her with a large amount of feces and water, and she only slept for four or five hours a day.
Afterwards, according to Wu Wuyun's account, at that time they both knew that they were eating feces, but not only did they feel disgusted, they couldn't even smell the smell, and they didn't even have the concept of family when they beat each other, they only regarded each other as an evil spirit, and they wanted to subdue demons and eliminate demons as immortals! In this way, this chaotic state continued until the tragedy occurred on April 9.
The death of Wu Jinnu
In the early morning of April 9, Wu Jinnu, who had been tortured by the "Qiqi" for more than one month in a row, and was frantically beaten and abused by her family for several days in a row, was finally overwhelmed, fainted and fell to the ground, and then lost her pulse and breathing. At that time, Wu Meihong, the third sister who was a nurse in a private hospital, was the first to notice her worrying condition and performed some basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her. Surprisingly, after Wu Meihong found that cardiopulmonary resuscitation was useless, she directly stopped the treatment and walked away indifferently. Then, the Wu family got up one after another, and they all found the lifeless Wu Jinnu, but the strange thing is that the whole family felt that the death was not the eldest daughter of the family at all, but the evil demon possessed her, and Wu Jinnu herself was just a temporary out-of-body soul, and sooner or later she would "come back from the dead". So, they calmly sat around the living room, waiting for Wu Jinnu to be resurrected, which was two days. On the 11th, the Wu family miraculously regained consciousness one by one, and then they realized that Wu Jinnu's condition was wrong, and the second brother Wu Wangyuan ran out and called a neighbor for help.
After the neighbor helped put Wu Jinnu in the ambulance, the Wu family thought that the evil spirit was strong and might not disappear easily, and it was still attached to Wu Jinnu, so they did not dare to go to the hospital together, but they were afraid that there were still demons in their home, and they did not dare to live for a long time, so they directly took the necessary luggage and ran to a relative's house in the countryside to "take refuge".
However, according to the confessions of the Wu family members so far, the police have reason to believe that it was the frenzied abuse of the Wu family that led to the death of Wu Jinnu, and they have forwarded the results of the investigation to the Kaohsiung procuratorate, hoping to prosecute the five people for the crime of abandonment causing death.
The so-called crime of abandonment causing death means that people who have no ability to save themselves should be given assistance in accordance with the law, and if they are abandoned, they will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of more than 6 months and not more than 5 years, and once they die, they will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of more than 7 years or even life imprisonment.
In the face of the results of the police investigation, the Wu family was very emotional at first, because they still felt that Wu Jinnu was not dead at all, and the evil spirit would wake up after leaving the body. It wasn't until one day later that her mother, Wu Cai Yueqing, suddenly claimed to have been possessed by the ghost of her eldest daughter Wu Jinnu, and Wu Jinnu told her family that she was dead through her mother's mouth, which made the Wu family accept the fact of Wu Jinnu's death.
But even admitting that Wu Jinnu was dead, the Wu family did not think that they had committed a crime, and they blamed all the mistakes on the evil spirits.
