Artificial Intelligence: Human Right-hand Man or Potential Threat?

In answering the question, "How do you define AI?" I found that the idea of AI is to find solutions to problems through various search methods by using information provided to machines through inputs such as users, environments, or sensors. The goal is to find the best solution to the problem.

According to the requirements and parameters provided. For example, there's a difference between finding a node as quickly as possible and finding the best node (a depth-first search might find a node faster, but assuming a solution exists, a breadth-first search will find the shallowest node). You also have to take into account the limitations of your computer (the process can take longer if the search method requires each node that the program reads to store, thus measuring spatial and temporal complexity).

At the beginning of the semester, I noted that AI is "a field of technology that involves machines and other forms of technology that have the ability to learn, think, adapt, and react to different situations." Now that this course is coming to an end, I find this to be an accurate statement, but there's more to it.

When it comes to AI, the "how" and "why" are two questions that really confuse me. Since my knowledge of the subject was limited at the beginning of the semester, I only knew what I saw in the movie, where robots replaced humans and even caused harm to humans. I don't understand why anyone would want to make artificial intelligence. I now see that the purpose of AI is not to replace humans, but to help us learn and progress.

Computers have gone far beyond the mental ability of humans to think and solve problems. We don't have the ability to solve complex problems with the speed and precision that computers provide. Because of the fallacy of humans, it is necessary for computers to learn and adapt in much the same way that our brains learn and adapt.

However, that's the question of how it works. How much are they supposed to learn, how can they make decisions without conscience? I now see that there are a lot of limitations to how computers can be used, and I don't understand why anybody would want to make artificial intelligence. I now see that the purpose of AI is not to replace humans, but to help us learn and progress.
