However, for the delivery of the car, the life of the Zhijie S7 is not as good as that of the M7, but it is not "far ahead" at all.

Recently, at the Huawei experience store of Kaidelong's Dream in Hongkou, Shanghai. The author saw that the four exhibition cars in the store were open-ended, all of which were Wenjie, and one was the latest Wenjie M9. But I didn't see the Zhijie S7.

The test drive is finally back. I did a test drive on my phone, which was quite convenient. The sales consultant took me to the basement. However, instead of letting me drive right away, I was asked to sit in the passenger seat first.

The car drove out of the basement and onto the road, and the sales consultant began to use regular words, such as precautions, characteristics of the car, and so on. Soon it was time for the switchback point for me to take a test drive. Since the route is fixed and very short, I stepped on the electric door a few times to try to accelerate, and it ended without feeling anything. It's still quite sloppy.

When I asked about the delivery of the car, the sales consultant was not sure. Just say, "You can mention the car in about March or April." It was March at the earliest. "Is it March or April?" The sales consultant used a very slick word to get around the question.

That night, after investigating another Huawei experience store, a colleague from the commune told me, "I have asked, but the Pujiang Wanda store has not yet arrived." said that the money had been paid for more than a month, and a special site was rented to expand the store to put the car, but it has been dragged. ”

In other words, at present, there are more than a dozen Huawei experience stores in Shanghai, except for a few with test drives, and most of them have no show cars. Moreover, according to media reports, as of December 31, the large orders for the Zhijie S7 have exceeded 10,000 units.

Because the manufacturing plant of Zhijie S7 is Chery's intelligent networked super second factory that has just been put into production at the end of 2023, and on December 5 last year, the super second factory realized the first intelligent S7 vehicle off the assembly line, and it will still take some time for the production capacity to ramp up. At the same time, the Star Atlas ES is also produced in this factory. However, the Star Era ES has not encountered production capacity problems.

In fact, in addition to the Zhijie S7 and Star Era ES, Chery's Fengyun A8, iCar 03, etc., are also produced here. Last time I took the iCAR 03 for a test drive, I also visited this new factory. However, during the whole process, Chery did not mention the Zhijie S7, which seems to be quite secretive.

Turning back to the topic, looking at my disbelieving eyes, he continued to explain to me, "Because Zhijie S7 uses Huawei's own chip, however, it can't be handed over at present." Last month, there were only 1,600 chips in total. ”

Correspondingly, the Zhijie S7 only delivered 784 units in December last year, and only 113 units were delivered in the first week of January. So, where are at least half of the chips used?

In fact, this Huawei chip is not only used in Zhijie S7, but also in AVATR 12. Interestingly, two days after my test drive, on January 15, Huawei Hongmeng Zhixing gave a compensation plan, for users who paid Zhijie S7 Dading from November 28, 2023 to January 15, 2024, if the vehicle delivery time exceeds 6 weeks, the owner will be provided with a compensation of 200 yuan per day and a maximum of 10,000 yuan.

The introduction of this compensation plan should be said to have responded in a timely manner. Here's a word of praise for Huawei's decision-making speed. Just like the resolution of the detained vehicle incident in Guangdong Yongao, Huawei's compensation plan was introduced quickly, which is believed to alleviate users' anxiety to a certain extent.

Of course, the sales staff of each store also notified the car owners one by one after the compensation plan was announced, but they still could not promise the future delivery cycle. The sales consultant I was dealing with didn't tell me the news. Come to think of it, he doesn't think I'm willing to buy a car.

In the past two days, Xiaomi's "Rebus" has done a survey, except for SU7, which kind of sedan do consumers think is the best within 500,000 yuan? At present, it seems that whether the cooperation between Chery and Huawei can be carried out is not a problem. What is intriguing is that Chery, as an OEM, has not issued any public opinions on Huawei's delivery difficulties, as well as other measures. It's hard to say anything.

As we all know, the Zhijie brand is the second smart car brand launched by Huawei and Cialis after AITO Wenjie, which was developed in cooperation with Chery Automobile. At the same time, it is also a key step to measure whether Huawei's smart car model can replicate and expand. However, for Cialis, Huawei can "handle" 100%, and for Chery, Huawei at least can't be hard and needs good words.

For the world, "Big Mouth" Yu Chengdong spared no effort. Yu Chengdong has appeared in the Cialis smart factory many times, and on October 16, when the number of new M7 orders exceeded 60,000, Yu Chengdong publicly stated that he had invested more than 1 billion yuan and more than 20,000 people in the entire supply chain to ensure high-quality and rapid delivery. In contrast, the delivery of Zhijie S7 can be described as turtle speed. However, compared with the previous generation of chassis based on the M7, technically, the Zhijie S7 uses new technologies such as the "Tuling chassis" and Hongmeng cockpit 4.0 and the solution of intelligent cabin intelligent driving, so it is understandable that the production capacity ramp up is slow.

The problem is also that many people in car companies feel that Huawei is "ugly", and they deeply sympathize with the "soul theory" of Chen Hong, chairman of SAIC. Huawei says one thing and does another, and it always stumbles.

In the final analysis, car companies' trust in Huawei is very low. If Huawei wants to really play in the automotive industry, it still needs to have a clear understanding, either seriously become Tier1 or Tier0.5, and don't think about "eating" the parts of parts suppliers and overall solution providers if you want to build cars. It is impossible to "have both fish and bear's paws", both as a referee and as an athlete, if the car company can only build a shell, everyone will fight back.
