As a plastic surgeon, I would like to give you a few tips for lifting your facelift, and some situations are discouraged!
1. It's not a facelift as soon as it comes up (other programs can also be used)
For example, when you are young, your facial tissues are thick and sagging, and your apple muscles are moving down and your nasolabial folds are deep... You don't have to do a facelift, there are more options, apple muscle reduction, small incisions, facial fine-tuning, etc., can be well improved.
2. Underlying diseases
There are many questions, such as high blood pressure, low blood sugar, etc.
High blood pressure will increase surgical bleeding, and blood sugar too low will affect the healing of the postoperative incision, so the preoperative examination can be controlled to control blood pressure (below 140) and blood sugar (about 8).
3. It is not omnipotent
It is not necessary to do a facelift to solve all facial problems, such as sagging upper eyelids, eye bags, tear troughs, corners of the mouth, etc., but also need to be improved together with periocular or perioral rejuvenation surgery.
4. The skin is inelastic
Generally, it is not recommended to do a facial lift over 70 years old, on the one hand, it is due to physical health and its own conditions, on the other hand, the skin elasticity is poor, the tension around the incision is large, and it is easy to leave scars.
