What kind of company is Taosi Data?

Taosi Data is a hard-core technology company focusing on the Internet of Things and industrial big data processing, and its open-source time series database TDengine has ranked first on GitHub's global trend list for many times, with a total of more than 22.5k stars on GitHub, and more than 460,000 installed instances worldwide, covering more than 50 countries, and has considerable influence in the developer community in China and even around the world. At present, TDengine has been widely used in many fields such as electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, iron and steel, metallurgy, automobile, intelligent manufacturing, finance, etc.

Since its establishment, Taosi Data has received nearly $70 million in investment from Sequoia Capital China Fund, Matrix Partners China, GGV Capital, Index Capital, Pfizer Gold, Mingshi Capital and other institutions. At present, the scale of the Taosi data team has reached more than 90 people, and the R&D team members are mainly from well-known universities or institutions such as China University of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc., with master's or doctoral degrees. Taosi Data has a total of 6 founding team members, 4 of whom graduated from USTC with bachelor's degrees, which also makes Taosi a company with the entrepreneurial DNA of USTC. The following is an introduction to the founding team members of Taosi Data University:

1. Tao Jianhui (HKUST 865), the founder of Taosi Data, is the third high-tech company he founded after graduating from the University of Science and Technology and went to Indiana University in the United States to study at Indiana University. He has served as the Chairman of the USTC Overseas Alumni Foundation and the President of the USTC Alumni Association in Chicago.
2. After graduating from the University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree, he studied for graduate studies at the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was responsible for R&D at Nanrui Kedong and 360, and is currently the product director of Taosi Data.
3. Cheng Hongze (HKUST 1007), co-founder of Taosi Data, is a recipient of the Guo Moruo Scholarship at HKUST, who graduated from HKUST with a bachelor's degree and went to the University of Michigan to study abroad. After graduation, he returned to China to join Taosi Data, and is currently working as an architect at TDengine, and has been awarded the honorary title of Hurun U30 China Entrepreneurship Leader.
4. After graduating from the University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree, Hou Jiangyi (HKUST 1007) went to the University of Maryland to study at the University of Maryland, and returned to China to join Taosi Data after completing his studies.

Database kernel development

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the development and problem solving of TDengine database kernel;
2. The daily work mainly includes: solving product function problems on Linux/Windows platforms, solving product performance problems on Linux/Windows platforms, and solving product stability problems on Linux/Windows platforms.

Basic Requirements:

1. USTC 2024 graduates or within two years of graduation, bachelor's degree or above, major is not limited;
2. Passionate about programming, master C/C++ programming language, have written more than 5000 lines of programs;
3. Self-studyed/elective courses in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, databases, etc.

Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Undertake sales performance;
2. Conduct product presentation, system demonstration, bidding and bidding to customers, and formulate targeted and competitive solutions;
3. Responsible for industry market and competition analysis, grasp the dynamics of the industry and competitors;
4. Summarize and sort out customers' business needs and changes, and promote continuous product optimization.

Basic Requirements:
