After visiting Shenzhen, he then visited BYD's headquarters, and held the production launch ceremony of BYD's Uzbekistan factory with BYD President Wang Chuanfu, and witnessed the production of the first Song PLUS DM-i off the production line.

During the inspection, Mirziyoyev watched the needle punch safety demonstration of the blade battery, learned more about BYD's products and technologies, and watched the U8's in-situ U-turn function in the outdoor smart parking display area.

At the same time, BYD President Wang Chuanfu also delivered BYD's 10,000th new energy vehicle in the Uzbekistan market to President Mirziyoyev, a Yangwang U8.

In September last year, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan issued a statement on its website that it signed an investment agreement with BYD on the production of electric and hybrid vehicles and their components in Uzbekistan.

It is reported that BYD will produce electric and hybrid vehicles in the local joint venture "BYD Uzbekistan Plant".

Among them, the planned output of the first and second phases is 50,000 units, and the output of the third phase will reach 300,000 units after the official completion.

Prior to this, BYD had already held pre-sale conferences in Uzbekistan for models such as Han EV, Song PLUS DM-i and Destroyer 05, and three pioneer stores in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, also began to open in March 2023.

In December 2022, BYD and UzAuto signed a joint venture agreement to establish a joint venture company in Uzbekistan to focus on the production of new energy vehicles and related parts.

In addition to the vehicle plant, BYD has also signed a joint venture agreement with UzAuto in the local area and established a joint venture company that will focus on the production of new energy vehicles and related components, including the DM-i super hybrid model and related parts.
