But such days were shattered when Yang Hucheng was 15 years old. At that time, Yang Hucheng's father was sentenced to death by the Qing government because the Qing government suspected Yang Hucheng's father of engaging in anti-Qing activities.
The loss of his father made Yang Hucheng develop a great hatred for the corrupt Qing government, and he organized the Mid-Autumn Festival in his hometown, a large-scale anti-Qing revolutionary organization. Yang Hucheng's courage and courage made all the members believe in him.
In 1911, the Xinhai Revolution, led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, launched a final assault on the crumbling Qing government. Xi'an Incident

In December 1936, Yang Hucheng and Zhang Xueliang prepared to take military advice against Chiang Kai-shek to make him resist Japan. In the early morning of the 12th, the 17th Route Army and the Northeast Army surrounded Huaqingchi.
Chiang Kai-shek fled to the mountains near Huaqing Pond, and the troops searched the mountains and captured Chiang Kai-shek. At six o'clock in the morning, Yang Hucheng and Zhang Xueliang jointly telegraphed the whole country and issued eight proposals to resist Japan and save the country.
This news shocked China and the rest of the world, and in Xi'an, Yang Hucheng met with Chiang Kai-shek several times and begged him to stop starting a civil war. Under pressure from Yang Hucheng and Zhang Xueliang, Chiang Kai-shek agreed to all the conditions of the anti-Japanese resistance.
However, Yang Hucheng believed that Chiang Kai-shek could not be let go, and Yang Hucheng and Zhang Xueliang had a disagreement on the issue of releasing Chiang.
On December 25, Zhang Xueliang personally escorted Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing, and the Xi'an Incident ended peacefully, but Zhang Xueliang was detained by Chiang Kai-shek at his post. Yang Hucheng called Chiang Kai-shek to demand the release of Zhang Xueliang, but Chiang Kai-shek ignored him.
