CCG's Blockbuster New Books:

《The Future of China’s Development and Globalization: Views from Ambassadors to China》

The world is gradually emerging from the shadow of the new crown epidemic, but the intensification of geopolitical conflicts and the resulting food and energy crises, combined with a series of severe shocks such as climate threats, have caused the global economic recovery to falter. This has exacerbated the wave of global inequality and de-globalization, and posed more severe challenges to global governance. In addition, a number of trends that were already shaping the direction of globalization were already emerging before the pandemic, including the global power shift, the resurgence of China and Asia, the rise of the South, and multi-speed globalization, which will continue to evolve and have a profound impact on the next phase of globalization. Now is the time for countries to seek consensus and strengthen cooperation to lay a baseline for the future direction of globalization. In order to explore solutions to these problems, the Center for Globalization (CCG) invited many ambassadors to China to share their views and suggestions, and their generous contributions have resulted in two blockbuster books: The Future of China's Development and Globalization: Views from Ambassadors to China and China and the World in a Changing Context: Perspectives from Ambassadors to China. The two works are two books in the "China and Globalization" series, edited by CCG Chairman Dr. Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Dr. Miao Lu, and co-published by CCG and Springer Nature, featuring insights shared by 55 ambassadors to China on topics such as bilateral relations, bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges, multilateral cooperation and global governance, and China's role on the world stage. The Future of China's Development and Globalization: Views from Ambassadors to China is the latest in a series of books entitled "China and Globalization". In this book, 28 ambassadors to China share their views on China's role in the world in this turbulent era, including China's trade and investment relations with other countries, China's role in multilateral regional relations and global governance.

CCG's Blockbuster Book: Ambassadors to China and the World

Although the pandemic has receded, the economic impact will not be completely eliminated in a short period of time. At the same time, the escalating geopolitical conflict and the ensuing food and energy crises, combined with the climate threat, have caused a series of severe shocks to countries around the world, exacerbating the global gap between the rich and the poor, inequality, fueling the wave of deglobalization, and slowing down the pace of economic recovery. Some of the new trends that were already emerging before the pandemic, such as the global power shift, the resurgence of Asia, the rise of the South, and multi-speed globalization, are now further highlighted and will have a profound impact on the future of globalization. In today's world, development is inseparable from peace and stability, as well as from the sound development of globalization. So, how to build a peaceful and stable environment, how to promote the sound development of bilateral and multilateral relations, how to promote inclusive economic recovery, how to jointly address the imminent risks we face, what countries expect from China on these pressing issues, and to explore solutions to these problems, the Center for Globalization (CCG) invited many ambassadors to China to share their views and suggestions, and their generous contributions have resulted in two blockbuster books: China and the World in a Changing Context: Perspectives from Ambassadors to China and The Future of China's Development and Globalization: Views from Ambassadors to China. The two works are part of the "China and Globalization" book series, edited by CCG Chairman Dr. Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Dr. Miao Lu, and co-published by CCG and Springer Nature.
