Hosted by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and undertaken by the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and the Nanping Municipal People's Government, the Provincial Games is the highest standard and largest comprehensive sports event held in Fujian Province after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Due to the severe situation of epidemic prevention and control, this is also the most stringent epidemic prevention and control in the history of the Games, all ticket sales during the opening and closing ceremonies and competitions have been cancelled, and athletes, coaches, staff and volunteers have implemented full-chain closed-loop management during this period. I was fortunate to be the photographer sent by the organizing committee to participate in the shooting of all the events in the main stadium of the Wuyi New Area Sports Center and various venues in Jianyang. After this exercise, I have summed up some experiences, and I will talk about them here. Sports events have high requirements for shooting equipment, and a camera with strong focus tracking performance and a large number of consecutive shots is the guarantee of successful shooting. It is necessary to have several memory cards with large capacity and high write speed. Lenses from ultra-wide-angle to ultra-telephoto are useful, but it's impossible to bring them all at once, so you'll need to familiarize yourself with the schedule in advance and choose the right equipment for the schedule to be prepared. The use of flash is prohibited during the competition, and heavy rain may occur for many days in a row, which requires the camera and lens to be waterproof. Try using a relatively slow shutter speed to create a combination of movement and static. Use a slow shutter speed to chase focus for a more intense sense of movement. You can also use a tripod to fix the camera for continuous shooting, and then synthesize and break down the movements to show the trajectory. Sometimes the sudden heavy rain changes the environment of the game, but it also brings a different picture of the game. For example, the mirror formed by temporary water accumulation, and a string of splashes thrown out by pole vaulting...... Capturing these moments can make your work unique. The standard norms of professional athletes' movements are the goal of reporters' lenses. But if you turn the camera at the athletes in the mass department and the industry department, you will often get some unexpected images. As a photographer, I feel very fortunate to be able to photograph a sporting event like the Provincial Games at my doorstep.
