In order to maintain a green and healthy content ecology, prevent the publication and spread of false information, and purify cyberspace, Toutiao continues to carry out special ecological governance actions and dispose of low-quality accounts.
For creators who publish false, titled party and other illegal content, the platform has set up gradient penalties, including but not limited to warning/ban/ban penalties, and at the same time, the account credit score will be deducted by 20 points. Repeat violations may result in more severe penalties.
Toutiao has launched the function of account violation notification, so that users who violate the rules can view the content of the account violation in time when they receive the penalty, and refer to the Toutiao community norms to optimize the work to avoid violating the law again.
Content that is found to be an account violating the platform's code of conduct and deducting 20 points from its credit score includes, but is not limited to:
- The account continues to exaggerate and conceal the content to cause discrepancies and misunderstandings between the title and content
- The account continues to stir up old news or make up false fabrications, make up stories based on pictures, etc
- The account continues to post vulgar edges, bad painting styles, vulgar connotations and other content
- The account continues to publish financial risks such as single stock recommendations and exaggerated stock selection recommendations, and induces private messages for the purpose of prescription/dialectic, exaggerating the efficacy of drugs and other health risks
- The account continues to post uncomfortable content such as bloody violence, bad values, feudal superstitions, low-quality negatives, or bloody fabricated stories
- The account continues to publish content violations mentioned in Toutiao's community guidelines
1. How to check the reasons for "account violations".
- Open the Message Center - System Notifications - Click View Warning Details/Ban Details
- Click to view examples of punished content violations (more than 3 content violations, up to 3 displays), and the creator optimizes the work according to the content of the illegal work displayed in the title and cover, and refers to the "Today's Toutiao Community Guidelines" in the review basis to avoid further violations.
2. What should I do if I don't recognize the "account violation".
For the details of the ban/credit deduction details, click Appeal, and explain the reason for the deduction appeal or the source materials. The platform will give the appeal result within 1-3 working days.
3. Creators are prone to punishment for frequent violations
