This also means that after the Mazda6 was discontinued in the North American market in 2021 and the U.K. and China in 2023, the Mazda6 will also usher in the end of its life in the Japanese domestic market.

As Mazda's mid-level sedan, the Mazda6 is also Mazda's face and sales model, but due to the decline of brand and product power, vehicle sales have always been mediocre.

At present, the latest third-generation Mazda6 has been on sale for 12 years, and the cumulative sales in the Japanese market have reached 226437 units, but in the face of the SUV trend, the Mazda6 and the sedan have lost together.

In the Chinese market, after the Mazda6 (Atez) was acquired by FAW Mazda by Changan Mazda, Atez also ushered in the suspension of production last year.

However, even if it is not discontinued, Atez's product strength is significantly insufficient compared with its domestic counterparts, and its price has always been strong, resulting in more average vehicle sales figures.

According to the latest data, in 2023, the cumulative sales of Atez will be 3,438 units, and it is difficult for Mazda to have a positive feedback on its performance.
