In this program, I no longer simply sit in the studio and watch the teleprompter broadcast, but have the opportunity to go deep into the people and understand the people's livelihood. Before the interview with the reporter of Zongguan News, Yang Xu deliberately asked his colleagues to adjust the background to the night scene of Shijiazhuang of the "People's Livelihood Concern" program.
"In 2013, I introduced myself at a competition and said that I wanted to be a news anchor in the future. Ten years have passed, and I really sat in the live broadcast room of the news column as I wished. Yang Xu is full of love for broadcasting and hosting, and began to learn Xi broadcasting and hosting when he was in high school in 2013, and was admitted to Hebei University of Media and Communication in 2015. According to an article published by the Hebei University of Media and Communication WeChat public account in September 2021, Yang Xu joined the school's financial communication center club during his college years, and began to pay attention to some domestic media-related events in his sophomore and junior years.
In 2019, Yang Xu, who had just graduated from college, signed up for the 2019 China Central Radio and Television Host Competition, and although he passed the online audition, he stopped at the interview in the Beijing division. Yang Xu believes that the main reason for his failure is his lack of social experience, and since then he has been accumulating experience while waiting for the next host contest to start. Four years of work in the front line has improved his hosting experience and ability, and at the beginning of 2023, he saw the solicitation of the 2023 host competition of China Central Radio and Television, and he is ready to participate. "But I hesitated before I signed up, because I was worried that I would feel embarrassed if I failed again. My friends, family, and colleagues were trying again, but I never made up my mind. Yang Xu said.
What made Yang Xu make up his mind to sign up for the competition was a sentence from CCTV host Sa Beining: "If you sign up for the competition, you won't lose anything, but if you don't sign up, you will lose a very important opportunity." When answering questions in the final round of the finals of the 2023 host contest of China Central Radio and Television, Yang Xu quoted this sentence.

"After participating in this host competition, what new insights do you have on doing programs in the future?" the reporter asked.
"I feel like I've opened a new door. I used to do news programs, but now that I know about culture and variety shows, I can also try them, and I look forward to trying different types of programs in the future. Yang Xu said.
