Kangding City, located in the eastern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China, is the county-level city and capital of the autonomous prefecture. Gongga Mountain is one of the most famous scenic spots in Kangding and the highest peak in Sichuan Province. Kangding Love Song Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a nominated place for world natural heritage. The scenic area is composed of Fangcaoping, Seven Colors Sea, Rhododendron Gorge, Yaochi Boiling Spring, Mugecuo (Savage Sea) and the Red Sea, Black Sea and other scenic spots. There are plateau lakes, primeval forests, hot springs, snow-capped peaks and the 8-kilometer-long Thousand Waterfalls Gorge, which forms a magnificent and colorful landscape.
Nanwu Temple is located in the south of Kangding City and is one of the ancient scenery of Kangding. This temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, at first as a red religion, and later rebuilt as the Potala Palace Lang Jiaza Window Branch Temple. The building in the temple is a wooden and stone structure, which is an important Buddhist cultural heritage of Kangding.
