According to reports, Aki Yashiro, a veteran Japanese singer and whose representative works include "Tearful Love", "Boat Song", "Rain's Love", etc., died of illness on December 30, 2023, at the age of 73.
Aki Yashiro's agency confirmed the news today (9), saying that she fell ill in September last year, and then interrupted her acting activities to concentrate on recuperation, but she was still ill, and said that her funeral had ended on January 8.
From the early 70s to the late 80s of the last century, Aki Yatsushiro was a heavyweight singer in the Japanese singing industry. Teresa Teng's "Sweet Little Rain" and "Bits and Pieces in the Rain" are all covers of her popular songs.
The two are also friends, and Aki Yatsuro once sang "Airport" in Japanese and Chinese at his concert, remembering his friend Teresa Teng, which moved the audience.
