On January 8, Beijing time, Evergrande Automobile Hong Kong Stock Exchange issued an announcement that the company learned that its executive director, Mr. Liu Yongzhuo, had been criminally detained in accordance with the law on suspicion of violating the law and committing crimes.

Liu Yongzhuo, born in 1981, graduated from East China Normal University and Wuhan University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in engineering management. He is currently the Executive Vice President of Evergrande Group, the President of Evergrande New Energy Automobile Group, the Chairman of Evergrande New Energy Technology Group, and the President of the Vehicle Research Institute.

Liu Yongzhuo served as the chairman of Evergrande after entering football in 2010, mainly involved in the introduction of domestic and foreign aid, as well as the signing of coaches. During his tenure, he introduced players such as Conca, Muric, and Ackerson, as well as famous coaches such as Scolari and Lippi, all of whom became the team's humerus ministers, witnessing Evergrande's dominance from the Chinese League championship to the Chinese Super League championship and even the AFC Champions League.

In 2015, Liu Yongzhuo briefly left his football post and was sent by Evergrande to serve in other departments. In November 2017, Liu Yongzhuo, who served as Evergrande's vice president, was dismissed mainly due to his important mistakes in recruiting and internal management, but returned in 2018.

Today, Evergrande Automobile announced that the company learned that its executive director, Mr. Liu Yongzhuo, has been criminally detained in accordance with the law on suspicion of violating the law and committing crimes. The Company has applied to the Stock Exchange for resumption of trading in its shares with effect from 1 p.m. on 8 January 2024.

In September last year, Evergrande officially announced that Xu Jiayin was suspected of violating the law and had been taken compulsory measures in accordance with the law.
