If the judicial-administrative organs need to access a case file that has already been completed, it can only be accessed by virtue of a letter of access. This aspect is regulated in the archives management norms. Lawyers' case files also have a retention period, and they can only be destroyed after the retention period has passed. The minimum shelf life is five years. It is not correct for some lawyers to destroy case files casually. After the lawyer's case is concluded, the case file shall be bound and sent to the law firm for uniform preservation.
Although my law firm is a personal law firm and a micro law firm, it is also very standardized in terms of lawyer file management. We can always meet the inspection of the judicial and tax administrative organs and the tax authorities. All case files from the establishment of the law firm to the present can be consulted. This is also true for financial items.
The standardized operation of law firms must be regulated in all aspects. Any vulnerability can be a big disaster. Therefore, it is necessary to "prevent the slightest". As a lawyer and law firm, you must have a law-abiding mindset. Those who want to exploit legal loopholes and take advantage of opportunistic actions will certainly sow the seeds of evil for themselves.
What are the cases that I have closed this year? These are the cases that have been completed in 2023. These cases include those taken over in fiscal 2023, those that were completed in fiscal 2023, or those that were completed in fiscal 2023, or those that were taken over earlier and concluded in the current year.
