An Alaska Airlines passenger plane of the United States was involved in an accident in the air shortly after takeoff on January 5, and immediately made an emergency landing, causing no casualties. Alaska Airlines said in a statement that its Boeing 737 MAX 9 with flight number 1282 was flying from Portland, Oregon, to Ontario, California, and landed safely after an accident shortly after takeoff. There were 174 passengers and six crew members on board.
