Recently, the Karamay police in Xinjiang disclosed that after half a year, the Karamay District Public Security Bureau successfully destroyed a new drug gang that sold "tea" containing synthetic cannabinoids in 4 cities and prefectures in 2 provinces (autonomous regions), arrested 9 drug-related suspects, seized 35 drug addicts, and seized 327.32 grams of "tea" containing synthetic cannabinoids, 0.8 grams of tilectamine hydrochloride, as well as a batch of drug tools and other items involved in the case.
It is understood that last year, the Karamay District Public Security Bureau arrested Wang, a criminal suspect suspected of drug trafficking, and Wang confessed the fact that he and others had sold drugs "tea" to drug addicts in the jurisdiction of Karamay City since June last year, and also confessed the source of the drugs he sold.
After further work, the police found that the drugs in the case came from a certain city in Shaanxi, Urumqi in Xinjiang, and other places, and that the drug traffickers involved in the case were wandering around in a certain city in Shaanxi, Urumqi, Yili, Xinjiang, and other places.
Due to the fact that the case radiated to the area, involved a large number of people, and had a great impact, the Karamay District Public Security Bureau set up a special case team to coordinate with the police in many places, and rushed to four prefectures, cities and prefectures in two provinces (autonomous regions), including Shaanxi and Xinjiang, to carry out the work of collecting nets and arresting them. At the end of December 2023, all 9 suspects involved in the case were arrested and brought to justice.

The new drug "tea" has a black-brown and green appearance, smells fragrant, is shaped like broken tea, granular, and contains synthetic cannabinoids. Synthetic cannabinoids are a new type of synthetic chemicals, which can cause dizziness, nausea, mental confusion, hallucinogenic and other reactions after smoking drugs containing synthetic cannabinoids, and overdose can lead to shock, suffocation, sudden death and other conditions. Criminals often cover up new drugs with lies such as "no harm, no addiction, not drugs, can lose weight, can refresh spirits" and other lies, we must always be vigilant and consciously resist the temptation of all kinds of drugs.
