On the afternoon of December 27, the World Rope Skipping Championships Chinese Rope Skipping Team Huadu District Outstanding Athlete Commendation and Award Conference was held in Huadu District Education Bureau. Hu Biaofa, deputy head of the district government, Tang Haochang, former second-level inspector of the district, Zha Jide, director of the district education bureau, Jiang Shenggen, deputy director, Huang Guoli, chief inspector, and Shao Suzhen, secretary general of the district education foundation, attended the conference.
In July this year, at the World Rope Skipping Championships held in Colorado, USA, the Huadu Team, a Chinese rope skipping team composed of 9 students from Seven Star Primary School, Huadong School, Xinhua Middle School and District Vocational and Technical School, worked the field and won glory for the country, winning 14 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, breaking 2 world records, defending the glory of the "dream team" of Huadu Huadu in China, and highlighting the brand power of Huadu Rope Skipping.
The conference began with an award ceremony. Shao Suzhen, Secretary-General of the District Education Foundation, read out the "Notice of the Huadu District Education Foundation on the Commendation of the Outstanding Athletes of the Chinese Rope Skipping Team in the 2023 World Rope Skipping Championships", and gave cash rewards to 9 athletes including Cen Xiaolin. After the reading, the participating leaders presented awards to the winning athletes.
After the award ceremony, Hu Biaofa, deputy head of the district government, and Tang Haochang, the former second-level inspector of the district, delivered speeches respectively.
Tang Haochang highly praised the brilliant achievements of rope skipping on Huadu campus, congratulated the award-winning students, and called on teachers and students in the district to Xi learn from their tenacious will to challenge the limit, surpass themselves and climb the peak, and learn Xi their sportsmanship of loving sports, fair competition and perseverance.
