In the more than 70 years of development of contemporary Chinese literature, the writing of "contemporary literary history" has been an important literary, academic, educational and political activity almost from the beginning. Borrowing the classic concept of literary historian Mr. Hong Zicheng, "problems" and "methods" are important clues to investigate the compilation time of "contemporary literary history" for more than 70 years. The so-called "problem" is not only a "problem" of literary historiography, but also a "problem" that is constantly raised, updated and repeated in contemporary China, and the so-called "method" is not only an academic technique, but also points to the possibility of understanding reality, history and the future. A history of the compilation of the history of contemporary Chinese literature, which has witnessed the generation and dialectic of the three categories of "China", "contemporary" and "literature". Now, the process continues, and opportunities, trials and challenges are calling for new possibilities...... The publication of Professor Zeng Lingcun's History of Contemporary Chinese Literature (1949-2019) (Beijing Publishing House, 2023) comes at an opportune time. As the first book to systematically review and summarize the experience of compiling "Contemporary Literary History", this book provides a solid starting point and fulcrum for us to discuss related topics. In view of this, the Inside-Out Art Museum and Beijing Publishing House jointly convened a workshop on "Issues, Methods and Possibilities of Contemporary Literary History", with a view to bringing together scholars from the old, middle and young generations of scholars to explore the issues of contemporary history behind the compilation of "Contemporary Literary History" and literary history.

Contemporary economics offers economic policies that have led to multiple economic crises. More recently, economists have avoided acknowledging that this was "a collective mistake by many wise people" in the face of the "Queen's question" of the subprime mortgage crisis in 2008. However, more leading economists have pointed out that this is not a technical mistake, but a mistake of principle. Superstitions about the "rational man hypothesis", "dynamic market equilibrium", and "mathematical tools" have led some of the brightest scholars on the planet to gradually detach themselves from reality and indulge in their imaginary world of models. As early as 1992, Bourdieu criticized this by saying that it was the scholastic bias in economics that caused the current mathematical disorder in economics. His analysis, warnings, and reform tactics were not taken seriously in France at the time. But before the next economic crisis arrives, it's worth pondering and responding. On the evening of January 5th, the Lujiazui Reading Club invited Zhang Lu, a teacher from the Department of Public Relations and the General Education Center of the School of Foreign Language and Culture Communication, Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, and Shi Xuan, a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Foreign Philosophy Research Office, to talk about how Bourdieu's alternative theoretical scheme attempts to restore the aura of the word "economy" in the contemporary world.

With the rapid development of information technology and modern economy, we seem to be inevitably moving away from classical poetry due to the rupture of the language system, the crowding of new content, and the shift of public interest. A certain confrontation, contradiction, and even dissolution is like a huge abyss between the development process of modernization and classical poetry. We can't help but wonder if the meaning of reading classical poetry is also being dissolved? The four authors of "The Practice of Ancient Poetry" try to answer this question by looking outward and gazing, looking inward and asking.

"Shiji" is one of the most far-reaching historiographical classics, which has profoundly shaped the Chinese's memory of pre-Qin history, and also deeply influenced the emotional expression and value judgment of the Chinese. However, many of the narratives in the "Records of the Historians" have actually deviated from the historical truth. The historical stories of later generations are often further exaggerated and distorted of the "Historical Records". After the scrubbing of time, our understanding of the classics is often very different from that of the ancients. One of the things he wants to do in the historical writing of Liu Bo, the author of the reading library, is to pick up the tiny and precious things that have been peeled off from the historical sculptures and preserve them through the comparison of historical books and the retelling of stories. On the afternoon of January 6th, Liu Bo will be a guest at Jiantou Bookstore Shanghai Pujiang Store, and have a dialogue with Cheng Yanliang, the anchor of "Left and Right", starting from "Historical Records" to explore how to find truth and power in classics and memory.

The author describes Lacan's theories as he knows and understands them in order to explore what is not yet clear about these theories. In other words, it is ignorance that drives the telling. Obviously, the reader should not stop at these narratives, but also think about what the author himself is not clear and does not say. Or it can be said that the author discovers ignorance during and after the narration. Therefore, the author of this book hopes that the reader will join him in trying to start from scratch and slowly understand Lacan. In this sharing session, the author will continue to talk about his motivation, intention, method, and expectation for writing this book...... Time: 14:00, Sunday, January 7
Location: Jiazuo Bookstore's WeChat video account
Speaker: Liu Shuang (Lecturer, School of Humanities, Central Academy of Fine Arts)
Throughout the geographical environment and land distribution of Eurasia, the expansion of cities is also a process of conquering the "highlands", from Rome, the "city of seven hills", to a large number of mountain cities in the empire, the concept of "building cities on the mountains" has gradually become a major common feature of Roman cities. During the Renaissance, Rome's image as a particular mountain town was not only reinforced, but also expanded from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic coast during the age of sea power: Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, embarked on a series of projects to "rebuild Rome" and brought its highland ideas to the coasts and islands of the Indian Ocean. As Goa, India, was shaped into the "Rome of the East", the Romans' ideal of a holy city also sailed into the East, so that in a certain period of Macau, a "Rome on the water" appeared on the peninsula. On the occasion of the publication of "The Moving Holy City: The Hidden Biographies of Four Eurasian Cities", we asked the author of this book, Liu Shuang, to analyze this visual geography. At the same time, Li Jun, editor-in-chief of "China in the World: Cross-Cultural Art History Library", was invited as a guest speaker to trace the circulation and evolution of the landscape of the Holy City.
