In the chicken coop, some chickens are happily foraging, some are chasing buckets, and in the cooperative's warehouse, a cart full of "Lurunyuan" eggs is preparing to be sent to Sichuan.
"Eggs are recycled by cooperatives from base farmers and sold to all over the country, our eggs are green and pollution-free, of good quality, and are sold by order, and the sales channels are smooth. Gou Guoping, the head of the cooperative, said.
In 2011, Gou Guoping, who was wise enough to know the "chickens", led the villagers to establish a cooperative and build a seedling base. While developing themselves, cooperatives do not forget to get rich together. In accordance with the model of "cooperatives + bases + capable people + farmers", the "six unified points" management model is adopted, that is, unified procurement of chicken seedlings, unified feed supply, unified technical management, unified epidemic prevention procedures, unified quality standards, unified sales, decentralized breeding, to provide chicken seedlings, ingredients, and epidemic prevention to farmers who are willing to breed ecological chickens in the town, and hire professional and technical personnel for production guidance. After more than 10 years of development, there are 52 farmers.
In 2014, the cooperative was recognized as a pollution-free product production area in Gansu Province by the Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, and its fresh egg products were recognized as pollution-free agricultural products, and in March 2023, it was approved as a provincial farmer cooperative demonstration society by the Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The registered "Lurunyuan" brand eggs sell well in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and other places, with an annual sales revenue of more than 800 yuan.
The continuous development and growth of the Runyuan Breeding Farmers' Cooperative in Chengxian County is only a microcosm of the development of agricultural characteristic industries in Chenyuan Town, the difficulty of increasing the income of the masses and the weak development of the industry.
