A Korean-American couple did IVF, but gave birth to white twins!

author:Those things in the UK

AP (pseudonym), a Korean woman from New York, never dreamed that she would give birth to twins for the first time as a mother, and she would not have her own blood, not even Korean ancestry.

After the torment of pregnancy in October, I finally helped someone else give birth to a baby...

Such a magical experience stems from a series of serious mistakes at the Southern California fertility clinic CHA a few years ago:

The clinic confused the IVF embryos of several couples, resulting in several mothers being mistakenly implanted into other people's embryos.

AP and her husband live in New York, USA, and the couple tried for many years, but they were unable to conceive a child, so they had no choice but to resort to IVF technology.

One day in August 2018, AP and her husband came to the CHA Fertility Clinic in Southern California, where they booked an IVF surgery slot in the hope of having twin daughters in the future.

After a period of insemination and nurturing, the clinic informed the AP couple that they had successfully cultivated their fertilized egg embryos and that the next step would be to implant the embryos into AP's uterus.

A series of steps went smoothly and the embryo developed normally in AP's womb.

However, when AP went to the hospital for scans and tests a few months after pregnancy, she found that the two fetuses in her body were boys, which did not match her original intention of wanting two daughters.

The partner of CHA Clinic came to explain that he and his wife had a similar phenomenon when they were doing IVF, which was a normal situation.

AP didn't think too much about it, and she was equally satisfied with her two sons.

In this way, AP went through the torment of pregnancy in October and finally gave birth to a pair of twins.

However, not long after the two babies were born, the AP couple realized that something was wrong, and the two sons turned out to be white??

AP immediately contacted the CHA clinic where the IVF surgery was performed, and the CHA clinic replied that it would immediately initiate an investigation.

A month later, the AP couple received the findings from the CHA clinic:

It turned out that when the CHA clinic implanted the AP embryos, Zhang Guan Li Dai mistakenly implanted the IVF embryos of the other two couples into the AP.

In other words, the two babies born are not biological sons of AP and must be returned to their blood parents...

Heartbroken and embarrassed, the AP couple found a lawyer and took CHA Clinic to court.

Mr. and Mrs. AP, through their lawyers, claimed:

This IVF incident left AP with permanent and irreparable wounds, and she asked CHA Clinic to compensate for the corresponding losses.

Just as the AP couple resorted to the law, a lady named Anni Manukyan also received unexpected news:

CHA Clinic called and informed her that she had a biological son.

And that son is one of the twins born to the Korean mother AP.

In 2018, Manukyan and AP went to the CHA clinic on the same day for IVF, and she and her husband also provided eggs and sperm.

Later, the embryo implanted in her body was also mistaken.

Manukyan and her husband were unaware of all this, and her pregnancy process did not go well, which ended in a miscarriage.

Who would have thought that a few months later, a son who was related to him would fall from the sky......

Through a series of legal means, Manukyan took back custody of his son from the AP, during which the AP also resisted fiercely, but eventually had to give up.

Although he had a lot of twists and turns to get his own son back, Manukyan didn't intend to forgive CHA Clinic for it.

Soon after, Manukyan and her husband also took CHA Clinic to court, demanding huge compensation for emotional damages.

After years of lengthy litigation, in October of this year, the Korean-American AP couple won part of their lawsuit against CHA Clinic, receiving $200,000 in damages, and more is still in litigation...

Looking back on this experience of "having the wrong child", Manukyan was quite emotional:

"I often pray for AP, she is a gracious lady. She was the one who conceived my son and brought him into the world, and I have always been grateful to her. ”

"She and I are both victims, and we will fight to the end against the CHA clinic that caused this tragedy. ”

I hope that the series of "embryonic oolong" tragedies caused by CHA clinic can be satisfactorily resolved as soon as possible, and justice will be given to the victims.
