This year, we have made many innovations in the fields of smart service upgrading, patient management prescription, and full-course management of various specialties, and introduced new technologies such as artificial intelligence, assisted monitoring, and 5G to help public hospitals improve service quality and service efficiency, so that patients can receive more convenient, efficient and professional periodic medical and health services.
In response to the current pain points such as the insufficient supply of medical services in China and the lack of basic medical knowledge and health management awareness of the public, Weimai released CareGPT, the first large language model application in the field of health management in China, this year. CareGPT provides new auxiliary tools for hospitals, doctors, and micropulse case managers to realize full-cycle intelligent health management of prevention, consultation, appointment, and rehabilitation. Through the analysis of patient chat content, CareGPT can relatively accurately restore the full picture of patients' health, and at the same time support the push of professional self-rating scales to help patients independently conduct preliminary physical condition screening, realize intelligent assistance in triage guidance, and achieve more efficient patient management. With the support of CareGPT, the number of patients managed by doctors and case managers can be increased to 500 in the same period, compared to 50-70 before that. At the same time, CareGPT can be connected to multiple application scenarios such as hospital official accounts, call centers, enterprise WeChat, and Weimai APP. According to the effective interaction and content analysis of patients, it provides them with text, pictures, videos and other forms of health management suggestions, covering the whole process before, during and after diagnosis, which not only provides medical workers with efficient and convenient patient management tools, but also allows them to withdraw from some complicated affairs and focus more on the treatment of diseases.
Shell Finance: The meeting mentioned the need to deepen the supply-side structural reform and expand effective demand, so as to promote the economy to achieve qualitative and effective improvement and reasonable quantitative growth. What are your company's specific plans and strategies in this regard? What are your expectations for 2024?
Qiu Jialin: Since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee has emphasized the organic combination of the implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand and the deepening of supply-side structural reforms, and the benign interaction between effective demand and high-quality supply has formed a strong synergy to actively create markets and promote high-quality development. Based on the new stage of development, the company has gradually transitioned from "entering the market" to "creating the market", focusing on seizing the opportunity and taking advantage of the trend.
Nowadays, in the field of medical and health care, there is still a huge and unmet "super rigid demand". The people's demand for medical and health services has undergone "qualitative" changes, and the multi-level, diversified and personalized demand has gradually increased. Under the guidance of the Healthy China strategy, public medical institutions have gradually shifted from "disease treatment" to "health management", so how to optimize the allocation of medical resources, integrate ecological enterprises in the medical and health industry, and provide all-round and full-cycle medical and health services for the whole population has become a new economic growth point. Nowadays, "lying flat baby" and "managed parenting" have become new "hot words", and behind it is enough consumption potential, and more and more people are willing to "pay" for more professional, higher-quality, personalized and continuous medical and health services.
Weimai's practice in the field of medical and health consumption is a microcosm of innovative models, promoting consumption, and practicing new development concepts. Through cooperation with public hospitals, we will reorganize the in-hospital treatment process, provide hospitals with tools to manage patients, and create a "patient-centered" online + offline, in-hospital + out-of-hospital management system for the whole course of the disease, so as to provide patients with periodic health management covering pre-hospital, in-hospital and post-hospital. In 2024, I believe that with the blessing of new technologies and cooperation with more ecological partners, we will improve the number of diseases and patients under management.
Beike Finance: The meeting emphasized the importance of deepening reforms in key areas and expanding high-level opening-up. What are your company's plans and strategies in these two areas? How do you expect these plans and strategies to drive your business in 2024?
Qiu Jialin: The development of "patient-centered" whole-course management is a comprehensive medical service model, emphasizing patient-centered and providing continuous, integrated and personalized medical services. Through the management of the whole course of the disease, we can promote the reform of the medical field, promote the rational allocation and utilization of medical resources, and improve the quality and efficiency of medical services. On this basis, the whole course of disease management has a new starting point for the management of some critical diseases, chronic diseases, and postoperative complications, and through continuous follow-up management, it can improve patients' compliance in the home scenario, reduce the probability of complications, achieve disease prevention and early intervention, and effectively reduce medical insurance expenditure, which is of important and positive significance for deepening the reform of the medical and health service system.
At the same time, the development of whole-course management will help improve the level and international competitiveness of China's medical services. By promoting the internationalization of medical services, China can attract more international patients and investment, promote the opening up of medical services, and at the same time, learn from advanced international experience to improve the level of local medical care. In the process of enterprise development, we need to continue to expand the "circle of friends", the next step, we will also look at the development of international medical and health services, learn from international advanced management concepts, technology and experience, improve the level of patient management, and develop managed medical organizations (MCO) with Chinese characteristics.
