The government work report pointed out that in 2023, the National Demonstration Zone for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases will pass the review with high standards. Promote the upgrading of medical and health services, the District People's Hospital was put into operation, the District Disease Prevention and Control Bureau was established, the Fankou Community Health Service Center Building was built, 22 village-level clinics were newly renovated and expanded, 52 childcare institutions were recorded, 142 nursery rooms were built, 753 new nursery places were added, and 6 cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and treatment stations of medical institutions were built.

Xia Xin said that in 2024, the construction of a healthy Echeng will be promoted. At the same time, we will continue to carry out the "323" campaign to affect public health, carry out free screening for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and cervical cancer, and implement follow-up services for people with hypertension and diabetes. Enhance the comprehensive functions of the District People's Hospital, prepare for the construction of the District Physical Examination Center, the Nutrition Canteen and the District Traditional Chinese Medicine Appropriate Technology Promotion Center, and build 2 new characteristic departments.
In addition, we will promote the "high-quality service at the grassroots level" of township health centers, improve functional facilities, improve comprehensive service capabilities, and complete the task of improving the capacity of 23 village-level clinics. We will further promote the high-quality development of contracted services for family doctors, and achieve 100% coverage of key populations.
