I'm not a native of Xinzhuang.
The first time I came to Xinzhuang, I was still in my third year of junior high school. At that time, it was an era when the whole people were preparing for war and famine, and it was fashionable to camp and train. The school organized our students from 14 classes in the third year of junior high school to conduct a paramilitary camping exercise, and the first stop was the campsite in Xinzhuang.
On the way, accompanied by the sound of the bamboo board of the propaganda team, the slogan of "practice the iron foot board and defeat the emperor and repair the rebellion" was recited in his mouth, and he walked all the way forward with majestic steps. Out of Zhongshan West Road, it is already farmland, but the farmhouses with pink walls and tiles are scattered in the green and yellow fields. At that time, there were few high-rise buildings in Shanghai (the name of the suburban county people for the urban area), and the International Hotel was the highest point in Shanghai at that time.
At that time, Xinzhuang was also a suburban town, although it was the seat of the county government, but it could not see the prosperity, and there were not many shops along the street, it may not be as good as the current suburban town, only the camphor tree on Humin Road was a landscape. I remember that my class's campsite was in the village not far from the satellite station, because the big white umbrella facing the blue sky stood abruptly in the rice fields not far away. Xu was the first time to go away from home to live a group life, so after putting down his backpack, he went with his classmates to see the big white umbrella at the satellite station.
I am a man who believes in karma. In 2000, the old house in Xuhui was moved to Xinzhuang, and it was the campsite for camping and training that year, because I clearly remember that the campsite was by the river, and I walked north along the riverside path to see the satellite station, and the distance was roughly equal, so the world was so coincidental. This may be fate.
Just moved to Xinzhuang, the surrounding area of the community still looks messy and disorderly, are some building materials yards, the grass is taller than people, it seems lonely. There are only a few street lamps sparsely standing on Hongxin Road, the sidewalks on the side of the road are not paved, the street trees are not planted, and walking is "scary" when it is dark.
If you want to buy some things, there are only a few small shops, and most of the goods are big and prosperous. To go out, the traffic is only 732 small bus, because it is such a bus to the city, this car is crowded than canned sardines, people are close.
If there is a person of the opposite sex next to him, he blushes first, for fear that others will misunderstand. The car drove savagely, and the car moved before the person could fully step into the door, just like the scene in the TV series Railway Guerrilla, barbaric and thrilling. It is said that society develops in a spiral shape. With the passage of time, the social development of Xinzhuang is changing with each passing day. The change of Xinzhuang began 20 years ago with the "township two-in-one", rising in the roar of the pile driver, and what made Xinzhuang sound was Metro Line 1, and the speeding subway shortened the distance between Xinzhuang and Xujiahui.
The sentence I wrote in the previous paragraph about taking a car to the city, more than ten years ago, Xinzhuang and Xujiahui did have a gap between the urban area and the suburbs in terms of geographical concepts, and Xinzhuang when I was in middle school was just a bus stop in the middle of Humin Road on the Xumin line from Xujiahui to Lao Minhang.
Nowadays, Xinzhuang is no longer the appearance of the old times, with high-rise buildings and prosperous business, Longzhimeng, Parkson, and Xinzhuang business districts...... The Minhang District Government plans to build Xinzhuang into Shanghai's fifth urban sub-center, which is turning from a blueprint into a reality. And I am becoming a witness to the changes of the times.
Of course, these are changes in hardware, and at a deeper level, there is an improvement in soft power. After I settled in Xinzhuang and worked in the Xinzhuang community, I heard and witnessed a lot of information, including government governance, citizen life, and the changes in Xinzhuang day and night, as well as the cultural heritage of Xinzhuang and the influence of it.
Although I am not a native of Xinzhuang, I can now speak Xinzhuang dialect that is not a straight word. At a class reunion, my classmates also talked about why my local accent was so strong, and laughed at whether I had assimilated or not. I have spent one-third of my life in Xinzhuang, and now Xinzhuang is my hometown.
Indeed, in the past 10 years, I have integrated into Xinzhuang, my home is in Xinzhuang, and I work in Xinzhuang, can I have reason to say that I don't love Xinzhuang? I will not use the geographical term of the suburbs of the city to divide Xujiahui and Xinzhuang, Xinzhuang is in the process of deepening the city, the blueprint is changing to reality, the happiness of Xinzhuang people is constantly increasing, and the citizens love Xinzhuang for more reasons.
In fact, I still have many reasons to love Xinzhuang, the reason is based on the social development of Xinzhuang, and the outline of today's Xinzhuang becoming the fifth sub-center of Shanghai has appeared, and the people of Xinzhuang have the confidence to say "I am proud". And I have one more reason to love Xinzhuang.
A few days ago, the District CPPCC Office, the District Education Bureau, the Youth League District Committee and the Minhang District Financial Media Center jointly launched a series of book reading activities of "Discovering the Beauty of Minhang", which will successively invite young people from many schools in Minhang District to read good books, be good at reading, understand history, love their hometown, and work together to promote the implementation of the "Min Market" reading activities.

Like many towns with a little history, Xinzhuang, which grew up in the water towns of the south of the Yangtze River, certainly has a side that makes the locals confident and proud, and does not say clichés such as "outstanding people", but also allows us to read the thickness of this place and feel its temperature on the stories left by the years.
Speaking of Minhang, it is natural that Xinzhuang cannot be avoided. On the one hand, in the eleventh year after the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xinzhuang was the former county seat of Shanghai County for 32 years, and the status of the county seat was very important. In 1992, after the "removal of two and the construction of one", Xinzhuang is still the seat of the new Minhang District office, which has been 28 years. In 60 years, a Jiazi, Xinzhuang's status as the central urban area of Minhang is unbreakable. In fact, its development is indeed remarkable, especially in recent years, it has never stopped moving forward, firmly grasping the two major footholds of high-quality development and high-quality life, looking for the characteristics of Xinzhuang in terms of commercial business, cultural services, headquarters economy, and ecological livability, creating a model of Xinzhuang, and changing the old appearance of the former county.
But this is only 60 years in Xinzhuang. If you want to trace the history of Xinzhuang, or rather, the past of its formation of market towns, from the original Jiangnan water town, to the railway transportation a hundred years ago, and then to the hub of the southwest gateway of Shanghai, it is also 500 years of wind and rain.
We often joke that in Minhang, there are always two words that are often misunderstood, one is the "line" (háng) of Minhang, which is not a local, and often reads it as xíng, the "line" for walking, and the same is true for the "Xin" of Xinzhuang, Xi inertia will pronounce it as the "莘" (shēn) of Xinxin students, in fact, as a place name, its correct pronunciation should be xīn.
And the "Zhuang" of Xinzhuang always makes people feel a kind of local atmosphere. In fact, there are many interpretations of Zhuang, one is the surname, the most famous is Zhuangzi, the second is the shop and the like, such as the money village and the tea house, the third is the land occupied by the monarchs and nobles in the feudal society, such as the manor, and the representative of the atmosphere of the scene, such as solemnity. But probably the most familiar ones are villages. But frankly speaking, Xinzhuang was really just a village before it was first formed as a market town. Even in the 60s of the 20th century, when it became the seat of Shanghai County and was called the county seat, it was surrounded by a vast farmland. At that time, the area of the town was not large enough, and it always seemed cramped and cramped, which can be seen from the narrow roads in the county seat. But aren't many ancient towns in Jiangnan like this?
Xinzhuang grows and develops in the midst of challenges. According to Shanghai's new urban master plan, Xinzhuang will be upgraded to a sub-center in the future, a goal to be achieved by 2035. The future is promising, and naturally it is exciting. People have reason to believe that this will become an emerging business prosperity area in the Yangtze River Delta, and it is also the best place to live and live a home.
