Cute tarantula mom and baby family together

Tarantulas are strong and agile hunters with excellent eyesight and eight eyes. They mostly live solitary, hunt alone, and usually do not build nets. Once spotted, they will pounce or chase short distances, or wait for their prey to enter their hole or reach near it.

Tarantulas will wrap their eggs in silk sacs and attach them to their bodies with a spinner at the end of their abdomen to protect their unhatched young.

To prevent the silk sac from reaching the ground, tarantulas must raise their abdomen, and despite this, they are still able to hunt. Tarantulas prey on pest species on farms and gardens, and are therefore often considered "beneficial insects". But if persistently provoked, the tarantula will inject venom. Being bitten by them can cause swelling, slight pain, and itching.

After hatching from the silk sac, the young of the tarantula will crawl onto the legs of the mother spider and squeeze on her back. Whereas, the mother spider carries her young for a few weeks until they are old enough to stand on their own.

It's quite sad to think about the moment of separation.
