According to Thai media news, on December 22, Ms. Narat Mong, the trade representative of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, held talks with the business director of Huashi Supply Chain Group in Yunnan, China. It is reported that the group is mainly engaged in the import and export of agricultural products, importing minerals, food, fruits and other commodities from Thailand.
Ms. Narat Muang revealed that Huashi Supply Chain Group is interested in Thai agricultural products and plans to purchase a large number of products to sell to various parts of China, mainly Yunnan. In 2024, the company initially plans to purchase 5,000 containers of frozen durian from Thailand, worth about 15 billion baht.
She further said that the relationship between China and Thailand is friendly, and Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Putang has actively implemented provincial trade policies and signed trade agreements with many Chinese provinces. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, on the other hand, has introduced policies to promote agricultural products and has a special agency responsible for supporting and controlling agricultural products to facilitate Chinese enterprises and the private sector.
