The US media bluntly said that the call marked "an important step forward in the relationship between the two most powerful armies in the world." The Pentagon's ability to say that it is ready to fulfill Biden's promise proves that the US side is well aware of China's demands because the US side has not kept its promises before. So what commitments should the United States scrupulously keep? I believe that the first thing that comes to mind for many friends is the Taiwan issue. That's right, there is no area where the Chinese and US militaries are most likely to misjudge than the Taiwan Strait.
