The 500 kV civil official 5391 line 241 icing observation station is located on the mountain at an altitude of 461 meters above sea level in Tianmen Town, Yi'an District, Tongling City, Anhui Province, and is one of the key "outposts" guarding the east-west passage of Anhui electricity. In winter, the mountain climate is changeable and the temperature is low, and the line is prone to ice, which poses a threat to the safe operation of the energy channel. Whenever the meteorological department issues a cold wave warning, Zhang Ningning and Wu Sen, the "post-90s" of Anhui Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Co., Ltd., will carry about a week's daily necessities, settle in the ice-covered observation station, and take turns to monitor the temperature, humidity, wind speed and icing thickness on the line through portable weather stations and vernier calipers and other tools, and report them regularly through the system, 24 hours a day. "This is my fourth year as an ice watcher, and I will do my duty to protect the safety of the line as long as I need to," Zhang Ningning said.
