At about 8 o'clock in the evening on December 10, when someone passed by the door of a store in a home appliance city in Yuyao, a suitcase suddenly fell from the sky and was scared into a cold sweat. Fortunately, it was smashed on the open field, and there were no injuries or major property damage.
"The incident took place on the road between two tall buildings. There are many cars parked on both sides of the road, there are many shops around, and there are many pedestrians coming and going, but fortunately no one was hurt. "After the property staff checked on the spot, they couldn't tell where the box came from. But the suitcase "fell" from the sky, and it was obvious that someone was throwing objects from a high altitude, so they reported to the Yangming Police Station of the Yuyao City Public Security Bureau.
The police found clues when they retrieved the public video.
Police officer Lu Tianqi inspected the scene and retrieved the public video of the building opposite the incident site, and finally found the "source" of the suitcase - it was thrown from the 15th floor.
According to this clue, the police found the corresponding resident Li Li (pseudonym). After questioning, Li Li, a man from other provinces, admitted that he threw the suitcase. Subsequently, he was summoned to the police station.
When asked why he threw his suitcase out the window, Li Li said: "Before you came, I had a quarrel with my girlfriend, and as soon as my head was hot, I threw the suitcase out of the window...... I didn't realize the magnitude of the problem at the time, and now I really regret it. ”
The man argues with his girlfriend and gets emotional and throws down his suitcase.
"We weighed the suitcase, which included the laundry inside, a total of 7.65 kilograms. It can be imagined how lethal it will be if it 'falls' from the sky. This time it was lucky that there were no serious consequences, but the security risks behind it should not be underestimated. The relevant person in charge of the Yangming Police Station said that the high-altitude projectile is a "pain" from the sky.
Serious acts of throwing objects from high altitudes are subject to criminal liability in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Li Li in this case has been taken criminal coercive measures by the Yuyao Public Security in accordance with the law on suspicion of the crime of throwing objects from high altitudes. Therefore, throwing objects from high altitudes is really not a trivial matter, and the slightest carelessness will lead to jail time.

The "Supplementary Provisions of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on the Enforcement of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China (VII)" clearly states: For the crime of throwing objects from high altitudes, it is stipulated that if the circumstances are serious, the sentence shall be up to one year imprisonment, short-term detention or controlled release, and/or a fine. where other crimes are constituted at the same time, follow the provisions for the heavier punishment at trial and sentencing.
