Wang Yanling (1642--1725), formerly known as Yuan Ling, was a chinese poet, a songqiao old man. A native of Zhangyan Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai. In the fifteenth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1676), he entered the priesthood and was awarded the title of Doctor of Taichang. Later, he was promoted to a bachelor of reading and teaching, and explained the Zizhi Tongjian to the Kangxi Emperor. He was skillful in historiography, touching on the bypass, and every time he lectured, he would be appreciated by the Kangxi Emperor. Because of the involvement of his brother Wang Hongxu, he was ordered to rest. Soon after, he was summoned to Beijing. Later, Shangshu of the Ministry of Engineering. In the first year of Yongzheng (1723), he was promoted to prince Taifu. He died at the age of 84. The Yongzheng Emperor gave the title of "Wen Gong" (文恭). He is pure and cautious by nature, and he often uses metaphors or gentle persuasions in all major events, and things are often changed; He is not proud of his merits, promotes talents, and never wants those who are willing to receive them to know their merits. Wang Hongxu (1645-1723), initially named Duxin, changed his name to Hongxu after zhongjinshi. The character Jiyou (吉友), also known as Hengyun Shan (横云山人), was a native of Zhangyan Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai.
