Wang Hongxu (1645-1723), also known as Jiyou, was a native of Zhangyan Town, Huating (now part of Jinshan, Shanghai). Kangxi twelve years into the soldier, teaching editing, official to the Ministry of Works Shangshu. He has been proficient in collecting calligraphy and painting all his life.
