1. The order of the parents
In fact, Teng Daiyuan and his son Teng Jiuxiang haven't seen each other for 20 years, that is, they haven't seen each other since Teng Jiuxiang was born, so what is the reason why the father and son haven't seen each other for 20 years?
Teng Daiyuan was born in 1904 in a Miao family in Mayang County, Hunan Province, his parents were farmers, planting a few acres of land, and his mother helped his father take care of household chores at home and do some farm work, it was under the influence of his parents' words and deeds that Teng Daiyuan developed a down-to-earth Xi of hard work since he was a child.
Teng Daiyuan also often helps the family to work, and his parents send Teng Daiyuan to school in order to save money and send Teng Daiyuan to school in order to no longer have to work with his back to the loess like them.
In 1921, Teng Daiyuan graduated from high school, and he and his classmates went to Baojing, more than 100 kilometers away, to study, and successfully completed his studies.
After graduating from school, Teng Daiyuan returned to his hometown to become a teacher, but due to the turbulent situation at the time, teaching at school was also unstable, and he often suspended classes.
So when Teng Daiyuan was 17 years old, he obeyed his parents' orders and married Tan Hongyu from the same village, and Tan Hongyu was Teng Daiyuan's mother's maiden niece, who was four years older than Teng Daiyuan.
Teng Daiyuan was educated by knowledge, while Tan Hongyu was a rural woman who had never gone to school and was illiterate, which also led to the two having little common language.
This was also the sadness of the old era at that time, a year after the two got married, Tan Hongyu gave birth to a son for Teng Daiyuan, and this son was Teng Jiuxiang.
Teng Dai, who had been educated by knowledge, was far from being willing to accept this kind of life, and he could not realize his inner ideals and ambitions after a lifetime of hard work.
So in 1923, Teng Daiyuan was admitted to the Hunan Provincial Second Normal School, during his study, he was deeply influenced by Chen Youkui, a member of the Hunan District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and under his leadership, he organized students to establish the "Mayang Xinmin Society".
He actively propagated progressive ideas, joined the ranks of the Communist Youth League in October of the same year, actively participated in the student movement, performed well, and joined the ranks of our party the following year, and embarked on the revolutionary road from then on.
But the good times did not last long, Teng Daiyuan participated in the patriotic movement during his studies, organized students to demonstrate on the streets, and touched the interests of the Kuomintang, so Teng Daiyuan did not finish his studies and was expelled from school.
However, this did not make Teng Daiyuan give up because of this, on the contrary, he devoted himself more actively to the revolutionary movement, because only the revolution can overthrow all unequal systems and realize that the tiller has his land.
This was also Teng Daiyuan's original intention to participate in the revolution, so when he was studying at the Hunan Second Division, he would often do some student work, and would also pull the surrounding peasants and workers to participate in the revolutionary movement.
Soon after this, Teng Daiyuan was sent to Changsha, Liuyang and other places to participate in the peasant movement and served as the chairman of the Hunan Peasant Association.
2. Minister of Railways
Later, Teng Daiyuan also served as the general political commissar of the Red Third Army and the political commissar of the Red Fifth Army.
Teng Daiyuan had not returned home since he participated in the revolution, and his parents, wife and children at home were also very worried until 1938, when he was a fellow villager who was a company commander in the Kuomintang army.
When he returned to his hometown and brought back a letter for Teng Daiyuan, the parents at home learned that Teng Daiyuan had not sacrificed, and now he has become the chief of staff of the Central Committee, hoping that his parents can come to Yan'an for reunion.
At that time, the situation was grim, only Teng Daiyuan's father and the company commander came to Yan'an after the trek, and when they saw Teng Daiyuan, they were no longer the original cowherd, but a general who commanded thousands of troops.
When Chairman Mao learned that Teng Daiyuan's father had come all the way to Yan'an, he entertained him well, and gave his fox fur coat to Teng's father.
Teng's father was also very relieved to see that his son was so capable now, and he only stayed in Yan'an for more than ten days before going back, after all, Teng Daiyuan would continue to carry out the revolution next.
Teng Daiyuan also gave his father all his allowances to his father before his father left to subsidize the family. Since then, Teng Daiyuan has said goodbye to his father and continued to walk firmly on the road of revolution.
Teng Daiyuan's young and middle-aged years were almost spent on the battlefield, where he fought for half his life, until the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, he received a new appointment and was transferred to the Ministry of Railways as the Minister of Railways.
As the Minister of Railways, the railway was an important transportation channel during the Liberation War, and often played a very key role in the war, whether it was transporting food, ammunition, or support, etc., it was inseparable from the railway.
Therefore, Teng Daiyuan took on a heavy responsibility as the Minister of Railways, responsible for the management and maintenance of the railway, and later worked in the Ministry of Railways, and also missed the award.
3. Father and son reunited
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, everything was in a moment of ruin, and Teng Daiyuan, as the Minister of Railways, did not slack off in his work.
