This charger supports 35W fast charging, the body interface and magnetic USB-C cable both support 35W output, and the power is automatically distributed when the dual ports are used at the same time, which is evenly divided into 17.5W+17.5W, which can meet the fast charging needs of two devices at the same time. Appearance of the Yosen 35W GaN charger
USAMS's 35W GaN charger is designed in a square column shape, with black and white shells on the upper and lower parts, and the surface of the fuselage is matte and the corners are rounded.
One of the design highlights of the product is that it comes with a retractable USB-C cable, which ensures that the product is portable as a whole and allows users to carry less cables and reduce the user's travel burden.
The black and white part of the fuselage split design is another highlight of the charger, between the contact contact power, the concave and convex part design can avoid the two parts of the fuselage splicing is easy to misplace.
The split design allows users to travel with only one device and only the white body part, which further reduces the burden of take-out and improves the playability of this product.

Maxim 35W GaN charger disassembled
After reading the unboxing and testing of this gallium nitride charger from Yoshengshi, let's disassemble it and take a look at the internal design and materials.
Firstly, the charger shell is pried open along the seam of the shell, and the internal PCBA module adopts the potting process, and four circular magnets are provided inside the cover plate for adsorbing the telescopic line module.
The PCBA module is powered by wire welding.
The red and black wires are soldered to the PCBA module.
The PCBA module consists of three PCB soldering, the internal space is welded with high-voltage filter capacitors and transformers and step-down inductors, and Mylar sheet insulation is used between the primary stages.
The length of the PCBA module is about 43.9mm measured by vernier calipers.
The width of the PCBA module is about 44.6mm.
The thickness of the PCBA module is about 18mm.

Through the observation of the PCBA module, it is found that the 35W gallium nitride charger of Yoshengshi uses Huayuan gallium nitride encapsulated chip and synchronous rectifier chip to form a switching power supply with fixed voltage output. The output adopts two independent synchronous step-down circuits to realize the fast charging output of two USB-C interfaces. The GaN encapsulated chip is from Huayuan Zhixin, model HYC3606, the chip integrates a 650V 365mΩ enhanced GaN switch tube, a digital multi-mode flyback controller and an adaptive GaN gate driver, which eliminates the interference of parasitic parameters on high-frequency switching by encapsulation.
Huayuan Zhixin HYC3606 adopts secondary side feedback to meet the wide voltage range output required for fast charging. The chip supports static GND heat dissipation, and has built-in rich protection functions, including LPS, VCC power supply overvoltage protection, transformer magnetic saturation protection, overheat protection, overload protection, and output overvoltage protection.

The transformer is made of ATQ18 magnetic core, which is tightly wound with tape insulation.
The secondary synchronous rectification adopts the synchronous rectifier chip HYC9012 Huayuan Zhixin, which combines the synchronous rectification MOS and the synchronous rectification controller in one package, and has a built-in synchronous rectifier tube with a withstand voltage of 100V and a conduction resistance of 9mΩ. The chip supports DCM, CCM, PFM and QR multiple working modes, the supply voltage range is 3-25V, with adaptive pre-shutdown drive to speed up shutdown transition, support optional minimum shutdown time, drive pull-down at startup, 10nS shutdown delay and other functions.

The HK1018 optocoupler is used for output voltage feedback.
The output buck board is soldered with a USB-C receptacle and an output filter capacitor on the front.
Two buck conversion chips are soldered on the back, and the buck magnetic ring inductor and output filter capacitor are welded on the back.
The buck conversion chip is from Huayuan Zhixin, model HY5331, is a synchronous step-down converter integrated with USB-C protocol, the chip supports 5.1-29V input voltage, and the switching frequency can be programmed by an external resistor, with a range of 100-500kHz. A low-impedance MOS transistor is integrated into the chip, which supports the use of a 5mΩ current sampling resistor.
Huayuan Zhixin HY5331 supports input over-voltage protection, under-voltage lockout, output over-current protection, output short-circuit protection, interface over-voltage protection and over-thermal shutdown. The chip has built-in line loss compensation, supports constant voltage and constant current control, and the chip supports a comprehensive fast charging protocol, and can adjust the output PDOs according to the input voltage, which is suitable for fast charging chargers and car chargers.

Next, disassemble the retractable USB-C cable module, first pry open the casing fixed by the buckle, and inside is the clockwork mechanism and magnet.

Summary of the dismantling of the charging head network
This GaN charger adopts a novel magnetic design, in which the charger and the retractable USB-C cable are split design, which can be used as a charger with its own USB-C, or the magnetic USB-C cable module can be removed and used as a charger. The USB-C cable that comes with the charger is 80CM in length, which meets the needs of daily use. The output power of the charger is 35W, and it supports automatic power distribution of dual ports to meet the fast charging needs of mobile phones and laptops.
Through the dismantling of the charging head network, it was learned that the charger was soldered by a combination of three PCBs to make full use of the space and reduce the volume. The switching power supply adopts Huayuan Zhixin HYC3606 encapsulated gallium nitride chip + HYC9012 synchronous rectifier chip, and the output adopts two HY5331 synchronous step-down chips to achieve fast charging output, and HY5331 integrates protocol functions and synchronous step-down converters and switches, and the fast charging protocol supports comprehensively.
