On December 15, the "Party Building Micro Garden" of Huaguo Park in Changhai Road Street was officially opened, adding a "good place at the doorstep" for community residents. During the event, the Fourth People's Hospital of Shanghai, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, and the Party and Mass Service Center of Changhai Road Street Community signed a co-construction agreement.
During this year's "400" visit, the cadres of Changhai Road Street and residential areas learned that the area of Huaguo Park is small, the public activity venue is cramped, and the residents are eager to have a leisure space where they can rest and chat. In the northeast corner of the community, along the street, there is an idle space, but it is overgrown with weeds, mosquitoes breed in spring and summer, and desolate in autumn and winter, and few people have set foot in the past 20 years. As a result, "how to revitalize resources and 'free cages for birds' to create a leisure space that residents want" was put on the agenda.

In the process of promoting the project, the property committee assumes the responsibility of "supervisor", and timely feedback the problems that residents are concerned about to the designer and the construction party, such as "whether the garden will disturb the people after completion", "whether it will affect the privacy of residents on the first floor", "whether the drainage facilities will affect the foundation safety of adjacent buildings", etc., and dynamically optimize the plan until the public is satisfied.
Focusing on the construction goal of building the "micro garden" into a "party building cultural propaganda position, a popular science point for Chinese herbal medicine planting, a children's activity space, and a leisure and fitness place", the Party Working Committee of Changhai Road Street, the general party branch of the residential area and the party members of the community business committee have taken the regionalized party building as the starting point and relied on the "front-line work method" mechanism to actively introduce resources to all parties. Taking the construction of "micro garden" as an opportunity, the general party branch of the residential area has cultivated two volunteer teams, including the Xianglan Garden Protection Team and the Little Bell Youth Green Protection Team, and formulated the "Party Building Micro Garden Convention" and "Volunteer Work Responsibilities" to promote the sustainable development of community governance.
