The conflict in northern Myanmar is becoming more and more intense, and the strategic foresight of the Kokang Allied Army is breathtaking. On December 13, the flames of war were ignited again, and the Kokang Allied forces attacked from the commanding heights of the Erawan Buddha and laid siege to Lao Cai City. Dongcheng District was conquered first, followed by the core area of Lao Cai. Attacking the city, the Kokang allied army won many battles.
The Kokang Allied forces had many new recruits and slightly inferior tactical qualities to the veterans, but their courage and determination were worthy of praise. The sub-machine gunner does not wear a helmet, and the perfect coordination of machine gun fire with drones and mortars constitutes a powerful offensive. The Lao Cai Gang resisted stubbornly, but became a vulnerable target in the rooftop defense.
Armed militias tried to defend themselves from the rooftops, but this outdated tactic left them vulnerable. On December 13, they released a video showing the roof defense and the situation was critical. The fighting for Lao Cai continued, and despite the unstoppable strength of the Kokang Alliance, the armed militias did not give up.
In other fronts, the combined forces of the De'ang National Army and the Mogok People's Defence Army occupied the "Reki" stronghold in Mong Long Township, the Chin State Defence Army launched an attack in the area east of Minda Town, and the Karen National Army and the People's Protection Army attacked Mengzhen. The situation became more complicated by the blockade of key highways by the Karen coalition forces.
Conflict in northern Myanmar: Mine variables complicate the war
Mines on the battlefield make it trickier to attack and defend. The Kokang Allies defeated opponents much stronger than themselves, teaching the world powers a lesson in battle. The Burmese army has been defeated repeatedly, and Lao Cai is in danger. The fighting in northern Myanmar has entered a moment of struggle for government forces.
