The male protagonist in the play, Li Yunlong, is a maverick hero, he is the god of war, but he has many shortcomings, and he has made as many merits as he has been punished.
In previous literary and artistic works, the heroes were all "tall, big, and complete", and the role of Li Yunlong made Liu Yanming have a great interest in "Bright Sword" and decided to make it into a film and television drama.

The more than 300 extras in the play are all fighters of the local army and have been following the group. They wore thin costumes and lay on their stomachs in the snow for two or three hours at a time.

Because the weather was too cold, two horses froze to death in the crew. He Zhengjun has ridden these two horses, and he has feelings for horses, and he has a special taste in his heart. At his own expense, he invited a few local villagers to bury the two horses.
In February 2005, CCTV intended to acquire "Bright Sword" and prepare to broadcast it during the anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. February 9 is the first day of the Lunar New Year, Liu Yanming braved the heavy snow and drove from Beijing to the crew of Jinzhong, Shanxi Province to report the good news.

Fortunately, in May of this year, Liu Yanming sold "Bright Sword" at the China TV Drama Trade Conference, and many local TV stations bought the broadcast rights, and Liu Yanming returned with a full load.
