On the morning of December 12th, the groundbreaking ceremony of the new project (Phase I) of the Fengxian Branch of the International Department of Shanghai Middle School (hereinafter referred to as SI) was held. The launch of the project means that the "one body and four wings" of Shangzhong International will take shape with the Shangzhong Road Campus in Xuhui District as the main body and the Pudong Zhangjiang Campus, Lingang Campus, Hongkou Campus and Fengxian Campus as the four wings.

On June 9, 2021, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Fengxian District People's Government and Shanghai Middle School signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the Fengxian Branch of Shanghai High School. The school has 40 classes in primary school, 36 classes in junior high school, and 24 classes in high school (the number of classes is determined according to actual needs). The school is expected to be completed in December 2025.
According to the "Cooperation Agreement", Shanghai Middle School will give full play to the leading and radiating role of brand educational resources, in accordance with the requirements of national education modernization and development, implement the concept of education reform and opening up that integrates China and foreign countries and takes root in China, and takes the reform of the school-running management system and the reform of curriculum and education methods as a breakthrough. It combines the international education characteristics of Shanghai middle school and the regional characteristics of Fengxian, and runs a first-class high-quality Shangzhong International Fengxian Branch.
With the completion of the university, in the future, the three parties will also build it into a world-class international education reform experimental field with Chinese characteristics, and a comparative research base for Chinese and foreign basic education that highlights Shanghai-style culture, integrates China and foreign countries, and takes root in China.

Shangzhong International Fengxian Branch is located in Lot 06A-14, FCX1-0014 Unit, Nanqiao Town, Fengxian District, east to Laojinhui Port, south to Shengli River, west to Nanjinhui Road, and north to Oriental Meigu Avenue (Fengpu Avenue). The total land area of the project is 95,685.7 square meters, the total construction area is 169,481.55 square meters, the total construction area of the first phase is 64,590.75 square meters, and the total construction area of the second phase is 104,890.8 square meters. (The Fengxian branch will be constructed in two phases, and this is the first phase of the project.) ）
According to the information previously revealed, the total investment of the project is 642.86 million yuan, and the construction period is 732 calendar days. The main buildings include 1 7-storey comprehensive teaching building, 1 9-storey comprehensive teaching building, 1 14-storey dormitory building, 1 4-storey gymnasium, 1 1-storey corridor, 1 1-storey garbage room, and 3 1-storey guards.
