The former Yugoslavia is a republic of six conglomerates, with the exception of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina). What exactly is going on in the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and who is the biggest winner in the war?

The Bosnia-Herzegovina War was a national civil war that broke out in the Balkan Peninsula in southern Europe in the 90s of the last century, and it was a war caused by ethnic contradictions between the Muslims, Serbs, and Croats in the "Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Since 1990, the former Yugoslav Republic has been dissolved. In particular, the independence of the union republic of Croatia from Yugoslavia in 1990 led to fierce clashes with Croatian Yugoslav government forces and with Serbs in 1991. Coupled with the support of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (formed by the former Yugoslav Republic of Serbia and Montenegro in April 1992), the Serbs have a clear military advantage. By the end of 1993, Serbs, who made up 31.4 per cent of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, controlled about 70 per cent of the territory, Croats, who made up 17.3 per cent of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, controlled about 20 per cent, while Muslims, who made up 43.7 per cent of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, controlled only about 10 per cent. As a result, the Muslims and the Croats had to unite and fight the Serbs together.

It's just that the two communities that unite are not opponents of the Serbs. At this time, Western countries, led by the United States, began to intervene in the name of "humanitarianism". Because as soon as the Serbs can gain the upper hand, they will inevitably return to the arms of Russia. Then Russia will embed a nail in southern Europe. Therefore, Western countries can definitely allow the Serbs to gain control of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a result, NATO first established a no-fly zone, and then began to directly enter the war, striking Serb forces with air strikes. In addition, he oppressed the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, forbade military assistance to the Serbs, and encouraged Croatia, which had just gained independence, to send troops to support the Muslims and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the end, the absolute military superiority of the Serbs was broken, and the Bosnian Peace Framework Agreement had to be reached in Dayton, Ohio, USA.

The "Bosnian War" was a war between three ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina and part of the civil war in the former Yugoslavia, which was intertwined with political and economic crises and mixed with religious and territorial disputes. Judging by the parties involved in the war, there is no doubt that they are all losers, and from the perspective of the post-war pattern, the US-led "NATO" is the biggest winner.

As a result of the war that has lasted for many years, nearly 300,000 people have lost their lives and more than 2 million people have become refugees out of a population of more than 4 million people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
