According to Martin Rostan, Executive Director and Chairman of the EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG), who presented during the conference, 400 new members have joined every 12 months since 2014, and today the EtherCAT Technology Group has more than 7,500 members worldwide, including 1,497 members from China (including Taiwan Province) (as of November 30, 2023).

It is worth mentioning that during the conference, Xianji Semiconductor launched two new MCU products for the industrial Internet of Things market, the HPM6E00 series, which is the first EtherCAT Slave Controller officially authorized by Beckhoff in China. "EtherCAT technology has been widely used in China's industrial field, but the MCU chips used are monopolized by foreign brands," said Danny Chen, Executive Vice President & Marketing & Sales of Pioneer Semiconductor, at the meeting, "The launch of the HPM6E00 series products represents that China's high-performance MCU products embedded with ESC on EtherCAT have reached the international level. ”

It is reported that the HPM6E00 series products of Xianji Semiconductor adopt the internationally popular RISC-V architecture, with a frequency of up to 600MHz, with single and dual-core options, integrating the EtherCAT slave controller (ESC, EtherCAT Slave Controller) authorized by Beckhoff of Germany, and supporting Gigabit industrial Ethernet interconnection, TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking), which can meet the various communication needs of bus-type industrial automation equipment. The HPM6E00 series is equipped with a precise position electric control system, a hardware axis conversion and loop calculation module, and 32 channels of 100ps high-resolution PWM outputs to meet the highest performance motor control requirements. At present, the product has been successfully taped out and samples will be provided to customers in the first quarter of 2024.
