On December 16, a high-profile rowing event, the 2023 Songshan Lake Science City Rowing Challenge, will be staged at the Songhu Deep Diving Sports Center. The competition will bring together more than 10 teams from scientific research institutes, universities, business schools and famous enterprises, including scientific researchers, teachers and students of universities, alumni of well-known business schools, backbones of well-known enterprises and players from Songshan Lake Science City team.
The event was guided by the Songshan Lake Management Committee, hosted by the Songshan Lake Science City Development Group, and co-organized by the Songshan Lake Publicity, Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. The event is intertwined with the beautiful landscape of nature, and the mountains, lakes and cities in the park are integrated, which not only brings people a refreshing enjoyment, but also allows people to immerse themselves in the beauty of the culture and scenery of Songshan Lake.
The Rowing Challenge is divided into a four-person double sculls 1000-meter race and an eight-person single sculls coxscrew 1000-meter race, which implements the latest rowing competition rules approved by the International Rowing Federation. The competition will determine the admission ranking according to the competition time, and the one-time finals will be used for less than 4 boats (including 4), and the top 4 boats will be selected according to the results for the finals, and the rest of the boats will be directly ranked according to the results, so as to ensure the intensity and fun of the competition to the greatest extent.
The relevant person in charge of Songshan Lake Science City Development Group said that he hoped to build a platform for scientific and technological talents to communicate and learn Xi from each other through this rowing challenge, further promote the deep integration of science and technology and sports, and encourage more people to participate in water sports and enjoy a healthy and happy life.
