At around 10 a.m. that day, Ms. Chen, who lives in Haishu, received a call from her "daughter" who was studying in the UK. I only heard the "daughter" crying and crying out "Mom", and then stopped talking. Ms. Chen thought her daughter had been wronged and kept asking her what had happened.

At this moment, a strange man's voice came: "Are you Li Bei's (pseudonym) mother Chen Pei (pseudonym)? Your daughter has now been kidnapped by me! ”

As soon as she heard this, Ms. Chen was instantly confused. She took a special look at her phone and made sure the phone number belonged to her daughter. But the girl's cries and cries for help faintly came from the phone and made her realize that something was wrong. So, after hanging up the phone, Ms. Chen immediately rushed to the Haishu Gaoqiao Police Station to call the police.

The other party's words alerted Ms. Chen and hurried to the police station for help.

Fortunately, it was a false alarm. Ms. Chen's daughter quickly called back and said she was sleeping and did not hear the phone ring. After confirming that her daughter was safe and sound, Ms. Chen's hanging heart finally let go.

Afterwards, Ms. Chen told the police that she usually pays more attention to the news related to telecommunications network fraud, and often receives anti-fraud education from the police station. Therefore, after receiving the "threat" call, although she was very panicked, as soon as she heard the other party say, "You find a place where no one is to talk, don't let the third party hear", and immediately realized that there may be "cattiness" in it, because the other party's remarks are similar to the plot in the anti-fraud case.

The relevant person in charge of the Ningbo public security told reporters that in recent years, the situation of telecommunications network fraud has become increasingly severe. "Prevention first, crackdown and follow-up" is an effective strategy to reduce the incidence rate at present.
