O'Sullivan won his eighth British Championship title after reaching the final of the British Championship for the ninth time, breaking the previous record of seven crowns held by himself. Thirty years ago, O'Sullivan won the British Championship for the first time, becoming the youngest British Championship champion in history, and now, O'Sullivan has won the British Championship for the eighth time, becoming the oldest British Championship champion in history.

O'Sullivan ended the 1-year and 7-month ranking championship drought since the 2022 World Championships.
