On the morning of September 7, a fire broke out in Room 401 of No. 3 Huinan Community due to improper use of household appliances, and the fire brigade rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire as soon as possible after the incident, causing no casualties. The fire damaged nine families and three vehicles.

After the fire was extinguished, the Mudanli Neighborhood Committee immediately contacted the civil affairs department to inquire about the process of insurance compensation for house fire damage, and arranged for staff to register the property losses of each damaged resident, take photos and records, and do a good job in settling claims. At the same time, we will contact the landlords, tenants and residents who have been severely damaged to discuss the issue of temporary accommodation and ensure their accommodation needs.
On September 8, the Mudanli Neighborhood Committee held a mediation meeting on compensation for fire accidents to discuss the property damage learned from the door-to-door and the dispute over the proportion of compensation liability between the responsible party and the affected party. Combined with the actual situation, the Mudanli Neighborhood Committee took the mediation plan as the mediation plan, carried out in batches, and mediated one by one, strengthened the linkage of departments, and invited the judicial office, the safety supervision and environmental protection brigade, the police station and the community legal counsel to conduct special mediation and treatment, so as to provide residents with fair and reasonable solutions on the basis of professional legal basis.
On September 12, the parties involved successfully signed an agreement with the owners of three cars and five families with minor damage, and paid the compensation on the spot. On 25 September, three severely damaged families were reassessed. On October 16, three severely damaged families reached a settlement and signed a mediation agreement with the parties involved. As an intermediary coordinator, the Mudanli Neighborhood Committee contacted the responsible party and the affected party by phone many times, day and night, cooperated with their working hours, and always accompanied both parties to check the damage to electrical appliances and walls on the spot, and stood in the position of residents to jointly assess compensation and solve problems.
On October 28, the landlord and tenant reached a reasonable compensation plan for the damage to the house, with a total compensation of about 110,000 yuan.
